It was last autumn when I was first introduced to Destructoid. A friend offered it to me.
"what is it?" I asked.
"try it, you'll like it"
so I tried it. I coughed real bad and then the floor started moving, and the walls started melting, and demons ripped open the ceiling and try to eat me. I was scared. Then reality started to kick back in. It hurt. It felt like a thousand knives twisting into my stomach and an ice auger was going through my spine into my brain. I needed to get away from it. I went back for more. The chemical fantasy was so much better than the painful reality.
I've been selling myself on the streets to pay for my addiction ever since.
Yeah, lsd's cool. Anyway, I'm pretty sure God sent me here.Originally Posted by Vitamin Awesome

An old friend lead me here...
I was working at a place called Northrop Grumman a couple of years back, and things were slow one day, so I did a little on the job web-surfing. Attempts to view any site with the word "game" in the title proved futile under the power of the company's web-filter, and my attempts to find a gaming site that wouldn't be blocked turned up D-Toid. I've been coming here ever since.
Good times for the most part.
The Pwnage that is Pure led me here. Teh Pwnerer showed me the way.
On a link from GoNintendo.com
From the first article on Doki Doki Majo from a long time ago..

I wanted a free wii...
I found my way to destructoid through a friend.
He had some blogs on here and he asked me to proof read them for him, as he was worried about the Dtoid police getting onto his case.
So thats exactly what I did, I read his blog.
And then I started to read other peoples' blogs.
And then I found myself wanting to comment, contribute etc. and so here I am!
I come on here literally every day, and I have to say I always find something interesting to look at or comment on.
Hope that people keep the quality of the content up. It pleases me.
I first found the robot of knowledge on digg.com... Some ppl may be h8ers on there, but I think the best of Destructoid.. In fact, I'd even say D-Toid is better than all internets in my home state combined. Yeah. I'd say that.![]()

I found it about a year ago through Stumbleupon, and casually read it occasionally. After listing to Retroforcego!'s Metroid retrospective I determined that I had join the site, and so I did! Then, five months later, I learned that we had a forum and decided to post in it as well.
I clicked the link on Jeff Gertsmann's blog.
I wonder how many of you Dtoid robots discovered this site as I did...
I am a proud member of this community thanks to an episode of Game Trailers TV(Game Head in the past)!
Anyone else? Host Geoff Keighley was interviewing Chad Concelmo, who was the most entertaining and cool of the bunch, Geoff was speaking to, so I decided to check out the site.
Been a loyal fan, spreading the site's video game propaganda , ever since!
Damn proud to be a part of this video game community!
Let's get a damn chant going here!
Dtoid!

I'm not sure where I found it but I saw a link stating that the Mario Bros movie was a great piece of cinema. It led me here, of course, and i've not been able to go away.
I was using google for something, and it directed me to one of the nerdcore girl gamer columns.
I came across this place during a google search for a new forum!

I had a friend who always told me about how awesome the forums here were so I decided to check out the front page. It's been almost two years now and I've decided to finally become part of the site.
Not lying, I was doing a Google image search on laser guns, which led me to a picture of a half-naked girl, which led me to Destructoid. Not to the Nerdcore Girls post, necessarily, I found that later, but just to Destructoid's front page, inexplicably. I haven't left since.
