"Guitar Party" was a band fronted by a first grade girl, one of Micheal "Eyedea" Larsen's many projects. This is their only album in its entirety, and conveniently enough the first track here is the one I was listening to just a moment ago on my iPod; 'Navy Blue Baby':

Thinking about SR3's music makes me want to hear Kanye. As obvious of a choice as that is, it was awesome how they used it in the penthouse scene. The video is pretty great too.

Speaking of music from videogames, anyone remember the stellar as fuck soundtrack to SSX 3? I've been going through some of the stuff I used to get down to in high school and I recalled how much I played SSX 3. Like literally that was my favorite game of that entire last console generation. And the soundtrack was just too good for me. One of my favorites to go on a full mountain run was this:
