    Titanfall vs Dark Souls II

gah! Two great games launching on the same day. Plus it looks like work is going to be batshit crazy mid March. Are you getting both? What is your plan? What to do?

Getting both. What kind of disability would you have not being able to play two games?

That ain't no disability, that's a tragedy. But then again I would wonder: if you're so tight on money can't buy two games in a month, and I was in that situation myself, wouldn't you be in such a bad spot you should maybe consider even getting one, given they're both 50-60$ new release games.

    Yes.

    But video games.

I'm getting both, but I'll also have South Park: The Stick of Truth to play that month. Don't think they're all releasing on the same date here but if it's not the same week it's pretty close.

South Park will be up first, followed by Titanfall and Dark Souls II.

I everyone would think this way, no one would have bought Demon's Souls in the first place.

Yeah they would have. From Software wasn't unknown before Demon's Souls.

Christfuck used, you know what I mean.
(and let's be honest - they weren't really a big player before Demon#s Souls... that's what got them really famous, because almost no one gave a shit about Armored Core or the even more niche shit they made like KU-ON).

I know what you mean, but it really makes no sense in the context of this thread. Dark Souls IS a well known game with a sizeable following and tons of praise. Of course it's going to be picked over "new textured shooter #343" by anyone who liked Dark Souls. Titanfall is a unplayed(outside of press and cons) game that's had a lot of hype from those in the industry and that's it. Taking a chance on Titanfall is one thing, but picking it over Dark Souls is another.

(And King's Field series had a sizeable following as well)

    Lets see...

Titanfall - Multiplayer only Call of Duty with robots. Locked to one system. Looks decently polished but nothing that really seems standout in the world of shooters.

Dark Souls II - Single and multiplayer content. Tons of replay value. A bunch of different ways to play. Sequel to the best action RPG ever.

I will play both, but I wish these two were not coming out on the same day. Ah well, better to have too many good ones, this January drought is getting old.
