So, I know I wasn't paying attention when they told you there were item shortcuts in the tutorial. But you can set item shortcuts where you press up + face button to instantly use an item without scrolling to it. Shame it's not something more logical like say, L2 + face button, but oh well.

Has anyone else had problems with the game locking up on them, especially when starting new areas?
I've gotten more black screens that have gone nowhere than I can fucking count. Every time, gotta quit out, go back to the home menu of the goddamn system, restart the game and redo all the shit you did since your last save. It's started to get to where before I dare do anything at all, I go back to the goddamn tavern, I save manually, and only then will I go do what I set out to do. I've had to reequip myself numerous times over just because of this stupid shit, and it's only when I'm network connected - if I opt out of online play, this never happens.
Shit's gotta get patched soon. That's pissing me off, and I've run into it at least ten times today. It's fucking stupid, and should have been goddamn playtested and bugfixed beforehand, because I am having a really hard time believing that they didn't know about this pre-launch.
In other news, lvl40 Wizard is the epitome of rape case. Motherfucker has Storm almost maxed out, so that does a shitload of damage as well as having five uses per reset, and I've found myself loving the ice staff (where I used to solely rock lightning). Up + Circle with the Ice Staff in rapid succession unleashes multiple smaller whirlwinds, if the staff's and your stats are high, it's like placing the enemy you are standing under / in front of into a fucking blender.
Combine that with Storm, and you've got the Chainsaw HurricaneTM.

No issues here. What model ps3 are you using?
08-18-2013, 02:08 AM
120GB Slim. Been reading online that this is most definitely NOT uncommon.
08-18-2013, 02:15 AM
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, thats the same model Im using. I've made a habit out of manually saving in all my games so maybe thats why It hasn't happened to me yet.

Hit the Gate. Go and hit it up with online mode enabled.
Run that a few times. You will see what I mean.

Level 55 Wizard. Maxed out Storm. Stupid strong ice staff.
The bodies. All them bodies.

Sometimes I play multiple stages consecutively just because I want to play the cooking game.
08-19-2013, 05:37 PM
I do consecutive runs to max out my bling. Speaking of which, I still haven't run into that issue Urrday mentioned. Neither my Elfu(29) or Dwarfu(40) seem affected so hopefully it stays that way. I did however run into a weird glitch last night. The camera kept pushing me back at random intervals even though the big arrow saying GO kept flashing, it wouldn't let me get pats a certain point. It was like we were being thrown around in one of dem wave pools. Had to restart in the end, I blame Japanese players.

I just started playing a bit as the Elf.
She's fun, and I like her a lot more than I thought I would.
Dwarf is weird for me, because I'm so used to the Fighter and his air attacks, so I keep doing that body slam thing whenever I mean to attack something that's flying. Grabbing and throwing stuff is great.

Still haven't touched the other four characters but I can firmly say that Elfu is da best Fu.
And yea, playing as the Dwarf makes me realize how annoying it is to be a shortie.

^ A man who has yet to witness the damage output of a leveled and armed Wizardo. ^

Kinda annoying how you gotta unlock hard for each character. Was hoping to join up with yer wiz and power level the fuck outta my pointy eared hoe.
08-19-2013, 07:03 PM
True, but if you can't defeat the Ancient Dragon, how can you prove you've got Hard level skills?
08-19-2013, 07:13 PM
Let's play mathematics.
Charge up an arrow. Hits for what? 1,700ish? Takes a second or three to repeat?
Now, let's take the Wizard, ice staff. Up+Circle, twelve or so hits, around 200-250 a pop.
Let's do that math half-and-half, six hits 200, six hits 250. Comes to 2700.
Now, let's add in the fact that I've got enough MP to pull this move seven times at once.
That brings us to 18,900. In about the span of time it takes you to fire your second shot.
Casting a level 7 Storm. Shit sticks around for what must be fifteen seconds.
Enough time to ensure that I can get two to three runs of Up+Circle, with recharging.
That's 56,700 in staff damage alone, never mind the extra spell.
In that fifteen seconds, it does 300+ per hit.
I have to really estimate here, as the Storm hits a large area multiple, multiple times, but...
I'd guess it hits 60 or so times at 300 average per hit.
So, that's 18,000 plus 56,700 in the span of fifteen seconds.
This means I do almost 298,800 damage per minute.
The health bar of a boss ends up looking like a bar that cannot keep up with the drain.
Seriously, it's comical to watch.

What is it that you do, again?
You can run normal in the meantime, and I can join your games. What will happen is this - my level will get nerfed to 35, but my weapons and armor will still provide stat bonuses befitting a lvl55 Wiz. So, I will be capped at base stats, but boosted far beyond them.

Yeah, yeah, we get it.
Wizard does crazy damage. Magic and all that jazz.
How many times can you get punched without all your frail bones breaking?
08-19-2013, 07:17 PM
I have no idea how much a charge shot would deal at level 40/50 but after the first charge shot its best to just splooge the rest of yer arrows right after if its a boss. Took the chimera down insanely quick with my splooge tactics.
