Yay.
Yay.

Withholding any hype for this. SR3 was fun but it wasn't half the game SR2 was. This looks like it's just the expansion they had planned for SR3 re-worked.
I didn't play SR2 and really liked 3. So maybe I'll buy this.

I'm sorry for your loss. Truly. SR3 was fun, but you really missed out with SR2.
Dear fuck, they pushed the knobs to twelve with wackiness here. Could be really fun, but it's out in five months? That doesn't assuage any fears that it'll be another small experience that SR3 was compared to the behemoth of SR2.
A 2 year gap between games is no longer sufficient?

Not even 2 years. End of the year 2011 to Aug 2013. Given the scale of the game(at least in SR2) I would expect more development time for a true sequel. Like I said earlier, looks like they just gussied up the previously planned expansion for SR3.
Yes, that is what they said they were doing. They were going to make an expansion but felt they had enough new content and ideas to make a new game.

Which means it's even less development time because they didn't even discuss making an expansion till 4-5 months after SR3 launched. This and GOW:J are running the same scheme of starting off with something as DLC then trying to pretty it up as a full retail release.
I honestly have more faith in this one though.
The upside could be that they used the two years to make the SR3 over-the-top experience as deep and fleshed out as SR2, with as many interiors, customizable features, and that huge amount of variety. If that's the case, then hell yeah. But that's not what's been conveyed.
Well on the off chance that it ends up being fourty dollars, it could be a pretty good deal. But if it's going to be sixty dollars then I dunno.
If the game controls as well, is as funny and magic, and as long as SR3 I'll buy it for a hundred.
I'm REALLY stoked for this one. Now that they aren't under THQ's lovely DLC models and season pass b.s., I expect this fucker to shine. Even with that bullshit, I loved a lot of 3. It just wasn't worth $60 imo. More a $30-$40 purchase. C'mon Deep Silver. Don't make the same damn mistakes the last publisher did. I'll beat Maurice Tan's ass.
I've only played the first Saint's Row. What the FUCK was going on in that video?!

Looks amazing.

Looks great, but so did 3. Going to wait for a lot more information before I get excited.
But 3 was great and has better controls than any playground game not named Infamous 2.
