No you don't.
And that's the increase from March 2011 to March 2012. Now, another year later, as you might imagine it's even more expensive.

"My bills are bigger," "NO MY BILLS ARE BIGGER," "My bill has a 20 inch cock."
I'MA BODY SLAM BOTH OF YOU RIGHT NOW.
Yeah, the earlier map was state averages. Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco are certainly bringing California's average way up. You can probably go live in the middle of the desert in California pretty cheaply. The earlier map lists Arizona as being pretty cheap, but it's almost certainly more expensive to live in Phoenix than it is to live anywhere else in Arizona. Still, so much cheaper than the major cities in California.
Yeah, I figured. It is ridiculously expensive to live in CT, though. You can't really get by on any kind of salary, unless you're making what my mom does. My best bet would be to finish school and then move South. I'd still have some money saved (supplemented by summer jobs) and the salaries are just way better up here. If I worked minimum while staying at home and did part-time, I could easily give myself an extra 4 months when I do leave.
Education is really the only way to move up. Without a college degree you'll find it hard to get your foot in the door for many types of jobs. That being said, pick a degree that can lead to a job that pays better. Education for the sake of education is noble, but if you really want to make a living, you gotta pick a profession where there's a need and the pay is solid.
And of course, pick something you love![]()
