Why in the hell does every forum I register to, need a damn moderator to approve my messages before the post is made public? Its annoying as hell, I just registered to a forum, and left for this damn reason.

To prevent the dozens of spam accounts made here each day from being able to shill their cheap sports jerseys and fake designer handbags, and to stop people only here to troll before they can cause any drama. It's a minor inconvenience for new users in order to prevent the place from being constantly overrun with junk posts.

When I joind the gaminformer.com forums back in '05 you had to have a minimum post-count, hours logged and pages viewed. Each of wich numbered in the thousands.

As much as you might hate it, these anti-spammer/advertizer measures do wonders at maintaining a community.

Tried to cheer a rape victim up in work by telling a few jokes but she got all defensive and started going crazy...

When I tried to apologise and calm her down though it just seemed to make things worse and by the end she was hysterical...

In hindsight "it was a joke not a dick, don't take it so hard" we're probably not the best choice of words..

Don't think the op is coming back. If they'd read the Forum Rules and New Users posting guide that they were told to read during registration, they would have the answer anyway.
