Spacebar on MAC

I have a MAC now and something is up with the spacebar. It was kind of stiff on the right side, so I followed some instructions, took it off, and cleaned it. All the parts are there, nothing is broken.

I put the key back on and it seems tilted and stiffer than before. It's facing the right direction. Yes, all the hinges are okay and seem to have snapped into place. Yes, the tiny metal bar is tucked into the tiny metal thing it's supposed to be. Still my space bar is tilted.

The parts are there. I can't tell what I'm doing wrong.

You're probably not doing anything wrong, they don't have an unlimited lifespan. Something is probably just worn out.

Most likely something is stuck in the bottom or one of the metal prongs are bent. That's happened to me several times.

I ended up just getting a USB connected keyboard, lol. I'm gonna end up selling the MAC anyway, but thanks.
