DmC: Devil May Cry

Yeah, Dragon's Dogma was a slow burn that's going to get a boost once Dark Arisen comes out. But Dragons Dogma also didnt have the budget or expectations of DmC. (They're also different genres, granted, most hack and slashers dont become slow burn titles)

Is Dark Arisen still a 40 dollar thing? Because it'd have to be absolutely massive for me to justify 40 dollars on it.

As far as I know it is. Since I skipped Dragon's Dogma originally I'm content with the 40 dollar purchase, but I can totally understand why others don't like it.

Just got the Vergil DLC. Its pretty good. His moves are a fairly close copy of the DMC3 version with just control setup differences.

I finished it yesterday. It was good, if a bit short. It's not really worth the price (although I got mine free), but then again what DLC is nowadays?

that the whole story is one of those "it didn't actually happen" things and everything occurs in Vergil's mind. Is that true? Cuz, if so, those are always lame I think

it all takes place within what appears to be the same part of Limbo that Dante goes to when you have to cut the chains off that giant statue. Vergil is actually dead, and the story of the DLC is him gaining back his powers which resurrects him, which for some reason involves him pissing off his mother.

Vergil destroying his own humanity and in a meta-physical way himself in order to unlock his true power.

For some reason Vergil's Downfall is starting to sound like the inspiration for a Linkin Park song now.

What was once just a decent action game has become a Telemundo Soap Opera with a deep story and unforgettable characters.

The game would be at least 10x better if it was done that way intentionally, including the silly music.
