Watched Metalocalypse on Netflix. It's pretty fucking stupid that they only have season 1, though. Oh well. OP updated.

I've never bothered previously, but I think I'd like to keep track of what I'm reading/watching this time around. So I'll be making my first post in this thread. I'll be missing a lot though since I've probably forgotten quite a few.

    Movies
    The Hobbit - Pt. I
    The Amazing Spider-Man
    Argo
    Eurotrip
    Forrest Gump
    Silver Linings Playbook
    Perks of Being a Wallflower
How to Train Your Pet Dragon
    Army of Darkness
    Red Dawn (Original)
    Donnie Darko
    The Dark Knight Rises
    The Dark Knight
    The Fellowship of the Ring
    Les Mis
    Uncle Buck
    Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
    My Neighbor Totoro

    Books
The Generous Gambler - Charles Baudelaire
The Call of Cthulhu - H.P. Lovecraft
    Pickman's Model - H.p. Lovecraft
The Inferno - Dante Alighieri (Ciardi Translation)
    Chac Mool - Carlos Fuentes
    Faust - Part I -- Goethe
Frankenstein, or The Modern Prometheus - Mary Shelley
Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone - J. K. Rowling
The Lost Stradivarius - John Meade Falkner
How to Tell a Story and Other Essays - Mark Twain
Complete Poetry Collection of Wallace Stevens
Punching Tom Hanks...A Guide to Beating Up Anything - Kevin Seccia
The Music Lesson - Victor Wooten

    Television
    Doctor Who - Season 5
    Portlandia - All of it
The IT Crowd - Season 1
The IT Crowd - Season 2
The IT Crowd - Season 3

A lot of the books I read are short stories, but many of them are related to the occult. I took an occult literature class, and now I'm somewhat hooked.
More to come as I remember and/or complete them.

Loved rewatching the original seasons, the new one was not entirely unpleasantly different with the character focused episodes but the spark is definitely still there. Totally worthy.

Watched Puppet Master over the weekend. It was alright, I suppose. Not really scary, though, even by 80s standards.

    I'm enjoying using Netflix. Shit.

Hadn't seen UHF or Three Amigos before, enjoyed both quite thoroughly.

For the ultimate bad feeling, tabulate it and work out total time spent watching. I've watched over fourteen solid days so far this year.

In 2012 I watched over fifty fucking five days of TV and film.

In my defence it was a slow year for me for most of it.

Watched ParaNorman last night. It was alright. Nothing too spectacular, but some of the jokes were funny.

Loving watching these shows on Netflix that I probably couldn't be bothered to find otherwise. Cat's Cradle was rather enjoyable too. Gonna find more Vonnegut to read.

I got my preorder of Gaiman's new book Ocean at the End of the Lane yesterday. I can't wait to start reading it, but I'm still reading Wicked currently. I hate stopping in the middle of one book to read another (and yet I do it with games all the time), so I'm going to finish Wicked first and then read it. It looks pretty short too, so it should be a quick read.

I've only ever stopped reading a book if it bores me, can't remember the last one that must have happened with. I definitely got bored trying to read Fellowship of the Ring as a preteen.
