Undeletable file + windows explorer problems

So I have a wmv file but it reads off as ".wmv-" at the end.

I managed to get it into the recycle bin but it wont delete. I tried using a program's "open" which should bybass window's indexing feature but still no luck.

I'm guessing it's a corrupted file and explorer cannot complete the indexing but never gives up.


Now I'm noticing my entire explorer is slowing down. whenever I open it up it loads everything but then tries to refresh which never finishes, and the left pane where it has "favorites, desktop, computer, homegroup etc." has small magnifying glasses in each tab going forever.

I just want to know if anything can be done or should I just system restore.

I went ahead and ran "cleanmgr" and deleted unnecessary files on my c drive, thumbnails was one of them. Windows explorer is running fine now too.
