Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed

I picked this up on sale this week not expecting much but I was really wrong, this game is fantastic I am actually enjoying this more than Mario Kart.

The racing is balanced more on skill then luck, the levels are gorgeous and the whole packed has really pleasantly surprised me. Has anyone else picked this up and what did you think of it?

Yeah, the first game was actually pretty good but this game kicks the crap out of Mario Kart. I loaned my 360 to some buds and every single time I come over they want to play it.

They're PC gamers. They never do this shit.

Damn fine game. I really hope the next MK does something different.

The only real problem I had, and I hope it's not just me, is the motion blur. The game looks so-so, but with all the motion blur, it doesn't even matter.

The previous game, as mentioned, was pretty good. But not good enough for me to pick this one up as well. Might do it if I find it in a sales bin somewhere though.

Racing in Mario Kart has become as predictable as throwing a dice (or a "die" if you're a grammar nazi). When I played MKWii for the first time I was in 5th place, got Bullet Bill and went all the way to first place with only a few seconds left of the race. My mates got pissed and I didn't feel any sense of accomplishment. This sounds like a step in the right direction, if it truly is based on skills.
