    The third introduction?

Geez, how do I do this without feeling like I'm repeating myself? Well, hello there. I'm Pixielated (aka Nia), a relatively new eleven day old Destructoid member. I doubled down on intros in the c-blogs, so to recap I'm the gay girl fixated with pixies, fairies, Shin Megami Tensei, Elder Scrolls, Fallout and I'm pretty much always nosing around some kind of RPG. Eastern or Western, I really don't care.

When its not an RPG its probably something Bioshocky or Metroid Primey, but tend to steer clear of FPS titles that are multiplayer focused. I'll make an exception for Halo, though, at least until I start swearing at the TV then I stop playing mutliplayer. I think its a good rule of thumb.

Also do some puzzle and platformer games from time to time.

Right now I have a 360, PS2 and a 3DS. Had a Wii and traded it in because I thought I was going to get a Wii U, but poor financial planning got the better of me over the holidays so my Wii games are sad and lonely on the shelf right now. I also do some PC gaming, but I'm stuck in the 90s and early 2000s with what this laptop can run. Torchlight and Bastion seems to be as current as it gets. I bought Legend of Grimrock and the laptop gave up on that one, so I'll have to upgrade sometime in the next year to play more stuff

That's about all I can think of for now. New Year stuff left me very awake and I finally think I'm ready to crash. See ya!

Nothing wrong with being stuck in the 90's/early 00's, some damn fine PC games came out back then. You got any favourite PC games?

What sort of books, TV and movies you into?

    anyway, WELCOME!

Deus Ex and Fallout probably my favorite PC game series, though Fallout is more of a recent thing for me and my PC oddly overheats for classic Fallout, so I just stick with New Vegas and Fallout 3 on 360 for now.

TV shows? I'm kinda not much of a TV person anymore. Anything I do watch is either off the air, cancelled or gets cancelled. Ever since I fell into and later quite MMORPGs, TV hasn't been much of a thing. What I've watched and liked has mostly been sci-fi and fantasy kinds of stuff like Star Trek, X-files, Firefly, Dollhouse, Cowboy Bebop, Hellsing, .hack//sign, Rin - basically if it ended in a season or two I'm a bigger fan of it than most other things.

When I saw The Avengers this summer, i knew someone I liked was going to die and die pointlessly because Joss Whedon was in charge.

Books and comic books, mostly stuff along the lines of the TV shows I mentioned. Sci-fi fantasy stuff with pretty much as many chicks kicking ass as guys - something sci-fi and fantasy is often good about. Comics I was more DC than Marvel, but I quit comics because of the expense and just grab stuff off iOS when its cheap. I prefer just sticking to Gotham City.

Movies - Back to the Future, Braveheart, Kill Bill, Kevin Smith movies, Ghostbusters, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (except Episode 2), the Dark Knight trilogy and the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (the original, didn't watch the US version, seemed pointless). Also Disney animated stuff. Beauty and the Beast and Mulan still probably my favorite of the 2D stuff and Wreck-It Ralph and Up for CG stuff.

Got a gift card for the movies over christmas. Today is a coin toss between Django Unchained and The Hobbit. Maybe 007 Skyfall if I have anything to spare this weekend.

Yeah, you probably shouldn't swear at your TV. It's not your poor TV's fault.

Woot, RPGs! Having just polished off the amazing Persona 4: Golden, I fear getting lost in another time sink of an RPG.

    Welcome!

Outside of video games I like going for walks, messing with my guitar, listening to podcasts and singing badly in the car and shower.

No real career right now, I just work what I can to get by. Various temp and part-time stuff, most recently did some hours for my friends at Gamestop. I appreciate the hours there because its fun to work there even if corporate is a bunch of stingy pinheads about their hours. The temp stuff is just boring.

No rainbow socks, but socks of various colors. The most rainbowy thing I got in the last year was a Lollipop Chainsaw T-shirt.

Welcome! You have indeed been surprisingly busy for a new person. In the C blogs, anyway.

I think I just blog a lot now because I gave up an old MMO forum where I was posting everything worthwhile out there and the older an MMO forum is the more unhinged and needlessly hostile people seem to be. It turned into a toxic environment.

Granted, you can get some of that anywhere, it just became to constant and probably not a good thing to be consuming when you're a big shut-in like me. I would prefer to be an extroverted shut-in at the very least.

If you haven't already used that gift card at the movies, go see Django. Way more white people die in it than those other movies and is therefore superior.

    Welcome to the forums!

That's some pretty awesome stuff. Can't say much about Django or the Hobbit but Skyfall was pretty good.

I'd say hello again, but its just redundant at this point. Anyways, you should be able to run Torchlight 2, if you could run the first. Download the demo and mess with the settings. Other than that, keep up all the talking. Oh and Skyfall was fucking boss if you're a fan of such things.

I liked Daniel Craig's Bond... though Quantum of Solace kinda blew. Casino Royale was awesome. It's good to hear Skyfall is getting a lot of praise as the Brosnan era was kinda meh and 007 was in question after Quantum. Seems like its going in the direction it needs to now.

Dunno if I'll see it, its probably not long til I can Redbox it, but if I have any spare cash after Django, I might go see it anyway. Already went for The Hobbit yesterday and that was a blast.

Skyrim is pretty fucking good. There's a few 'so perfect they invoke disbelief" moments of timing, but aside from that it's top notch.
