Man, trying to search up original Xbox problems in Google makes me hate the Xbox 360 for continuously getting in my fucking way of searching.
Sigh.
Onto the real problem!
So I have my Xbox hooked up through component, and it's worked fine forever, until now.
When I boot it up, everything's fine. However when it goes to run a game (Total Overdose, for example), the video cuts out, but the audio still plays. So I've tried unplugging the cables, cleaning them, taking apart the Xbox, cleaning it, and tried again. Same problem, menu works, game does not. So I started lowering the resolution from 1080i, to 720p, to 480p, then 480i. It now only works in 480i for some reason. My television supports 1080i as I've played games of that resolution before on it (It's an EDTV).
So what could cause this issue? I know component cables are cheap, but I'd rather not buy one then find out it could be something else wrong.
