    PS3 FNF: December 14th

Welcome to the weekly Friday Night Fights planning thread. If you aren't familiar with Friday Night Fights, it's a Destructoid community event where members get together online each Friday to play games. This is where we make up the schedule. The final list will appear on the the PS3 FNF community blog and Destructoid front page on Friday. There is no approval process for players or hosts and everyone is welcome. If you want in, just read the instructions below and drop your info.

    • Keep yourself up to date on the schedule. The list here can change several times throughout the week.

    • Leave a message here with your PSN name and which games from the schedule you want to play. More people will play if other people are playing, so speak up.

    • Send a PSN friend request to the person hosting the game which includes a message with your Dtoid name. If you leave out who you are on the site, they might think you're just a random friend request and ignore you.

    To host:
    • If you want your game listed on the schedule, we need the game, the time, and your PSN ID. We need the specific game, not an abbreviation that applies to more than one; a start time, even if you're playing "all night"; and we need your PSN ID even if you think we know it already. If there is anything else, like lobby names, DLC requirements, or passwords, note that as well.

    • Don't worry about hosting the same game or hosting a game at the same time as someone else. Instead, think of it like a movie theater; more than one game can run at the same time.

    • Make sure you have at least an hour to play. That's only two or three matches of the average shooter and those go by pretty quick.

    • Check the comments, both here and on the blog when it goes up on Friday, to see if someone has said they'll play. You might have missed their PSN message or your friend list might be full.

Note: Swear words will not actually be bleeped.

I'm burned out on Battlefield right now. I will still play it if it is hosted, but the responsibility is too great It's just that time of year when I just want to quickly kill everyone.

Anyone interested in SF4 Arcade Edition? It's going free on PS+ tomorrow, and I'd host if anyone's game.

Wait, what? That's fucking nuts. Now I'm glad I re-upped my PS+ and I never would have even bought SF4!

We also got Rochard but no one really cares about that.

I'll host a group play of SF4 then since Cornflake might play. Epic, what FNF Skype group? Anyway if the time isn't good for you let me know what is and we'll move it.

Ouch, that's pretty late for Warhammer, but I'm interested. In the mean time:

Dark Souls is a tough one. You almost need to get a group to start new characters at the same time. That's what Cornflake, Clockwork, and I did. I can tell you already that I don't have anything in range for those. We usually put it down as a sort of rally point for other people that want to play, even if they can't join us.

I might shuffle 40K a little earlier as well. We'll see.

I suggested to Andy about it for people on PS3/PC so we can have group communications and the like while playing SEPERATE GAMES.
Just a way to organize the groups of ppl playing different titles, and in the case of disconnects, we can be in the group trying to re-organize everything.

What time would be good for everyone for SF4 then? Assuming people are interested.

An hour earlier at 9 gives me an hour to mash buttons wildly because I'm terrible at street fighter.

I will definitely see you there.

    Maybe.

If the fucking thing actually downloads. It's apparently 18 gigs. 18 FUCKING GIGS what the hell is in this game? The mathematical equation Big Thought came up with providing the answer to the question about the meaning of life?

I'm busy this Friday, but if there's a Skype group that's used for calls during games I want in, next week I might be able to join.

I downloaded the DUST 514 beta a couple months ago, so after that finished downloading and installing, only like 3 gigs, I load it up, says it needs an update. Cool. I can deal with an update. I just wanted to see what they changed from playing it BEFORE ALL YOU SQUARES MUAHAHAH (CCP had an internal tournament. Needless to say my team won)

    Update is 4 gigs.

Fucking PS Store. Can't have the games including their updates on the fucking store. I swear I just downloaded a new client, instead of just a patch. There is no way that it was just an update. Or CCP doesn't understand how the PS Store works.

Either way, I played Skyrim instead.
