Oh definitely. Fuck actually playing in that place. I love it, but boy do I hate it too (which is why I love it). I'd rather go swimming at the bottom of Blighttown.

I just love both of these games to death. They're the few modern games that I don't get tired of. They occupy my #1 and #2 favorite games of all time. I have no shame in nerding out over either of them.

I preferred Demon's Souls hub world because it allowed for more varied environments without having to awkwardly mash them all together in one map.

Have they shut down them servers yet? This is kind of making me want to pick the game up again. I never did try NG+.

Even if the servers stayed up, years down the line it won't be the same experience as it is now.

They could have created system to randomly generate ghosts and messages and even phantom invaders to at least mimic the feel of the game when the servers were up and populated.

Is Dark Souls 2 the "official" title?

I hate it when a series names its properties like this. I get that now "Dark Souls" has more of a name than the first game did, but I think they should have stuck with the "X Souls" naming convention.

Uh, they wanted to make a Demon's Souls 2, but Sony owned the IP. King's Field, the predecessor to these games, also had this name convention(King's Field 2 proves this).

New director says sequel is going to be more accessible, direct, and linear.

Director worked on Monster Hunter. Miyazaki is supervising all of this(it's been quite clearly stated). I doubt that there's anything to fear. He may be meaning that he wants the actual gameplay systems to be more clear, which is fine.

So when did they nerf Ele weapons??? I think it's a good thing, at least i'm pretty sure a lightning +5 Iato did more than 440dmg at launch.

I think it was around 500 or close. +10 fire Uchi I think did 512 which I almost have maxed and doesnt' look like it'll hit.
