Episode 001: Hey dickbrain! It gets better
[There are times when Jon laughs really loud. If you're listening through headphones, err on the quieter side of things. This has been a public service announcement.]

For our first episode, we try to imagine what it's like being trapped in your body for 10 years and figure out why sperm (as well as all manner of sexual behavior) goes the way it goes. In addition, we learn that Clint can’t imagine dealing with coma patients, Conor bases his science knowledge on Doctor Who, Jon hates mammals and the human race, and Levi hates agreement. But be safe in the knowledge that it does, indeed, get better.

If you like the music snippets that you heard, give Suck City by Black Math and bitterfly by etc. the full listen.

Wired UK, "Brain damaged patient tells neurologist he's not in pain"

Look Who's Talking, opening scene (The inspiration for Levi's sperm)

The Human Animal - Biology of Love (penis bones and such at 33:00)

Sperm Wars: The Science of Sex

National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Agency (NOAA) - Icequakes

Charlie the Unicorn (re: Conor is awful)

Will give it a listen later on.
Edit: the RSS only feeds info, no podcast feed as far as I can tell.
Edit: scratch that, I refreshed a few times and it showed the podcast. I'm such a Noob.

I read The Diving Bell and the Butterfly a year or two ago, it's totally worth checking out. Short but fascinating and heartbreaking. The guy dictated everything by having his assistant point to letters of the alphabet and blinking when she got to the right one. He died shortly before the book was published if memory serves me correctly.

The fallopian tube is how the eggs transfer from the ovaries and when fertilized implant themselves in the walls of the uterus. Occasionally an egg can implant in the tube, which is a very bad thing.

They're called Silurians Conor, Jesus fucking Christ nerd harder. They've been around since the third Doctor I think.

You need to listen to / read John Hodgman's More Information Than You Require for the real fake history of the molemen and their involvement in the founding of the United States. Also, Paul Rudd is a moleman creationist.

The Bloop is totally Cthulhu. I still believe, and await my Master's resurrection.

Great job on the first show guys! Both entertaining and informative. Bonus content had me laughing out loud. Looking forward to more!

    It's Mix-yez-pittle-lik

PS: You should use a cushioned coaster for your drinks.

That was good, you guys should probably work on the segues though - that's the only thing that stood out to me.

I didn't not even notice the drinks on my listen and I certainly didn't notice during the recording.

When listening back on it the bonus stuff was my favorite part.

I'm brainstorming how to cleanly segue from sasquatch to garlic vaginas right now so I'll be prepared for our next show.

Aslong as you finish on talking about how potentially stinky sasquatch vagina is I think that could be a pretty easy leap. Sasquatch personal hygiene is a big part of the podcast's mandate, right?

Depends on whether you endorse S/Z ellision and such. Both are accurate from a phonetics point of view.

Sorry, Gilbert Godfrey lied to you. Funny enough the way Clark says it at the beginning of the clip is the Superfriends' pronunciation. I go by the official DC comics pronunciation; to this day I'm not sure why they dropped the ball saying it that way on Superman the Animated Series.

Andy, I wish we could dig my vasectomy chat from the grave just for you. Too bad it's lost in time with the time travel episode.
