Thanksgiving Holiday Week

Hey folks,

So I was curious what you guys were doing for the Thanksgiving gluttony week. Anything fun? This year is going to be different for me. Most years I meet up with my family and have the traditional meal. However this year because of the hurricane we had to bring my grandmother home from New York and look after her. Because of this my mom and dad do not feel like doing really anything this year. She told me yesterday that they were just going to order pizza and call it a day. So I will be eating pizza with my parents & then going to a friends place where were going to eat tons more food and watch episodes of DBZ and MST3K.

What about you guys?

Starting tonight I work every day through Sunday. 45 hours scheduled which may not seem like a lot but I'm part time and my normal week is only 27.

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days of the year for casinos (turns out, people don't like spending time with their families) so that night is going to be interesting.

Might try to go out on Friday for the first time ever and snag some deals.

I'll be visiting my parents in Pennsylvania where we will be eating delicious Thanksgiving Tacos...so much better than turkey! I may wake up early to pick up the seasons of Big Bang Theory on Amazons lightning deals

I've been tasked with bringing a bread bowl, that is to say a bowl made from bread and not a bowl filled with bread, to my folks' place. It will be sour dough, and there will be dip inside. I will make this dip from ingredients that can be found at your local grocer. People will tear the bowl apart in order to dip the bread in the dip. When I dip, you dip, we dip.

I almost got away with doing nothing and then the calls started flooding in. Ugh.

I'm not surprised Casinos are pretty populated. I'll be at one the day after Thanksgiving! For a long time my family went to anything that was open. Also, Christmas was movies.

This is the first year I'm not spending with my family. It will be kind of weird for me. I'm kind of bummed about it, but we have a conference every year that falls the week before thanksgiving so it's just too much traveling to do. The boyfriends family doesn't really care about Holidays so we are going to go to a Casino for brunch on black Friday.
