One thing I have noticed is that if someone adds you, you don't get notifications, even though there is definitely a section for it.

Chad Concelmo added me last night, and I show zero friend requests. Anyone know if I'm doing something wrong??

How are you guys liking the console so far? It's coming out on 30th here in Europe, and I really don't know if I should preorder one or not. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Wii, nor have I touched my 3DS, but I'm kinda liking the look of Wii-U.

I had a Wii, and I didn't play it at all. The Wii U, on the other hand, I can't stop tinkering with. ZombiU alone is worth the purchase price. The gamepad, and interface are just awesome as well.
I was playing Darksiders 2 last night, and decided to step out into my garage to smoke, and I forgot you can switch the game from the TV/Gamepad combo to just the Gamepad. It was an amazing experience, to say the least. That gamepad screen looks even better than it does on an HD TV (which I have configured to use 1080i. Kind of strange that the Wii U defaults to 720, even when using the HDMI cable that comes with it. Oh well).

Ordered it. If the interface is good and the controller comfortable, I'll at least be able to use it as an Netflix machine if nothing else. Got ZombiU with it, thinking about getting the New Super Mario Bros as well...I haven't played a Mario game since the original.

For god knows whatever reason, there are two different ways to send requests. If you send it through the "Friends List" app, it's silent and you only become friends if that person has also silently added you to their list.

If you go into Miiverse, tap your Mii, search for a user by profile name, and then send them a friend request that way, it works like normal and they get a notification with a friend request.
