    All things Torchlight

Can I just start a thread here?

So, Torchlight. Great fun. My main activity during classes for quite some time. I love it. Talk about it. Please.

Torchlight makes me happy in my pants. Front and backside, mind you.

Every time I play it, I get bored in half an hour because everything looks the same.

No phone is no fun. I do most of my forum-ing on the go, and my phone got chrushed'd.

Torchlight isn't for everybody. But those who it is for, it's AMAZING.

Screw Diablo III, Torchlight 2 is where it's at.

Haters gonna hate. I'm gonna get both.

Anyway, let's talk about the TL2 classes. Which class is your favourite? I can't decide what I'm going to play first. The Embermage seems like the least interesting of the bunch, so probably not that. The Outlander has their cool throwing weapon things and the Berserker can summon animal spirits, so I might choose one of those... but then again, the Engineer has massive ember/steam-powered armor, a monocle and giant fucking wrench for a weapon. Ugh, I want this game.

I study engineering. Try to guess.

I'm getting Diablo if the rumors about it coming to consoles turn out to be true. (has there been confirmation yet?)

Tochlight 2 is available for pre-purchase on Steam. Buy it now and you get a giftable copy of the original Torchlight. Only 15, pretty good.

I might buy this just to support former Blizzard North devs. Not really a fan of the classes or art style, but they had some good ideas in the original TL, like the pet.

WTB Hellgate London sequel with battle.net design instead of subscription. That game was really fun for Diablo style gameplay for shooting and melee in 3D.

I like the art of Torchlight. It's sort of steampunk-ish (not too much, which I find great) and the cartoony graphics make it look better on low-end laptops (mine).

Yeah, the original Torchlight runs on almost anything and I think that it'll definitely run on this laptop which will be good.

I have restarted Torchlight so many times. I always end up being bored with my class or character. I finally got a respec mod, so I could keep playing and just change my build. I still haven't finished it.

I have a limited experience with Torchlight, as I've only ever played the demo. But now that Torchlight 2 can be pre-ordered AND you get the first one free, I'm definitely on it! :P (As soon as I can get the 20 bucks to put in my Steam Wallet. >_>)

Anyone else think it's funny that you can pre-purchase TL2, and there's still no release date? They sure didn't plan things out like they should have. I was so pumped up for the second one, but now I honestly have lost about 80% of my excitement. I don't know if it's more because of D3 or the fact that they kept saying, "IT'S COMING SOON....oh wait. ummm another 6 months actually...OK NOW ITS ALMOST HERE....well, next spring...AND NOW YOU CAN PRE-PURCHASE IT....but it won't be out until sometime we aren't sure about in Summer"

I'm still buying the shit out of it, though.

It's said it'll be out around mid June. One month after Diablo, to use the words that go around. (already bought it, gonna engineer the fuck out of that game)

I really just discovered this yesterday while randomly browsing Steam. Insta-bought.
Here's hoping TL2 will come out in "a month after D3", but if not I can complete Torchlight and have some time to rest on it before running through TL2.

I was about 2 hours in and have a destroyer that gains +51 health with every hit. That and the quake skill, I felt really badass. That was until I checked out some of the achievements and one requires you to (in one hit) to deal 10,000 damage. My record was about 350.

(I was disappointed when I saw that Torchlight 2 wasn't Steamplay as the first one was. I'm planning on playing on my macbook as that's what I typically have around. Good thing I run Windows on it too, I just would rather it be running natively.)
