The cinematics in this game are some batshit craziness
Now I'm kind of wanting Revengeance
Oh snap. Rechecked the Fez ordeal and I was indeed wrong. Hopefully, we will see a smoothing out of the rough edges.

It's interesting that you put Ai Rin over Sasha. I started practicing with Rin last night and she has probably the best pause combos of them all. She's pretty awesome in general. Reminds me of Ling Xiaoyu from Tekken.
Oh nice, I had forgotten they were doing that. Wasn't too interested before but definitely buying it now.
Also, while I'm at it I might as well quote the elemental list for the new page.
That's awesome, especially the Death Ball part. They have the weirdest sense of balance in this game but somehow it works.
Big Bull is an asshole in hard mode. Playing as jack isn't helping.

Jack is badass though. I left my game on the select screen for about an hour last night, with his face taking up the entire screen and "IMMA SOLDIER -- YOU A SOLDIER" looping in the background. Shit was ravealicious. I might actually get the OST for this.
Jack is pretty shit. There's almost no combos, not to mention big bull gets out of every goddamn thing you hit him with. No lie, he blocked 2 consecutive rage mode combos...completely. The hell?

I like his character design more than his actual fighting ability. However I'm playing on normal and he's pretty great against the weaker mob enemies. He can powerbomb people and has a chainsaw for a hand, so yeah.
and there's the issue, weaker mob enemies and normal mode lol.

It's fun though! A big slow guy like him is fun to mow down a horde with. I can kinda see why they didn't use faster characters in the free roam section of story mode.
While I'm on this related subject, I'll add that the hijackable helicopters are my new favorite thing. Everything about those is the best. Crowd control through machine gun fire from the sky, lock-on missiles for larger tougher enemies, plus you can either throw the chopper itself or bail from an extremely high altitude and divebomb the shit out of them. It's so good. I haven't had this much fun raping evil with the power of flight since Superman Returns. Also: I like throwing bomb guys straight up into the sky and watching them explode in the stratosphere. The throw range extends to several miles when you do that, evidently.
X_X the bar bot escort mission is nonsense. That mutant at the end takes forever to kill. I am really not looking forward to some of these free missions on hard mode.
Honestly kind of considering just repeating the easy ones to unlock the story missions because some of these I can already see being practically impossible. The mutant killing mission with Max comes to mind. Those things have a habit of focusing on the player character a little too intently and 3 at a time with this much health...aye. The fact you can't really juggle or combo them sucks too. You have to hit and run when you don't have KW and when you do you have to maximize it's damage cause it's stuns them. Hit and run isn't gonna work so hot with 3 chasing me down.

I had kind of a tough time with the Barbot mission on normal. Wasn't too bad but I had to restart a few times. Even got to a point where I just said fuck it and left the game paused for an hour, like I mentioned previously. Finally wound up saving a full charge for the last mutant. That made things easier. Probably won't try hard until I've done everything else normally. It makes more sense than pissing myself off would.
Normally, it wouldn't be too bad, but you really have to babysit him. A regular kick from a thug takes off a ludicrous amount of health. Luckily there are items scattered around you can use if you're quick enough to get them. I'd fight the harder enemies until I saw red dots around him and just turn around and toss a bomb or something to clear em out.
Sasha is not as good as I thought she was, she's becoming more and more of a glass canon the more I play her, crazy damage with decent speed but her vitality is like 2nd worst in the game(Platinum Games keeping the sexist flame alive Capcom started with female fighters) and her Killer Weapons are easy enough to interrupt/dodge.
I think I'm really wrong about Douglas, Garuda, and Gargoyle. And Ai Rin might be better than Zero.

Those are my favorite characters in fighting games personally. The ones who can't take a hit but don't need to because they're so fast.
Only AR pros unlock the true Final Boss' model.
EDIT: And I just got confirmation from the randoms I played with(that sucked balls and waited for me to do everything). You need to be the person who gets the last hit in to unlock it. He has two stages, normal Cybrid Joe moveset but he will evade about 50% of the damage. Then he goes Kaiokenx20 and starts wrecking shit. What I did is go at him normally, dodging his attacks then punishing with Killer Weapon Weak attacks, then when he went berserk go into rampage mode and mash til I win. My teammates at that point kept getting hit and were all dead.
Is that from the survival mode?
Yes, in Mad Survival Round 5 is 3 Cybrid Bar-Bots and 2 Maxes.
That is god hard mode.
Is the hero this Forum deserves
No, you don't unlock him as a playable character.
When you beat him in Survival you unlock his model. He gives you the finger, then bows, then goes into his Cybrid Joe stance when he first shows up.

That dawned on me like two seconds before I saw your post. Imma chalk the mistake up to wishful thinking. The taunt does sound cool however.
As far as characters it would be so easy for Sega to release them as DLC. Hopefully they'll get around to that. I want the hockey mask guy even more now that I noticed his spider-web hoodie, which looks like the one I wear in real life. I don't think it's worn by the gang member in the MP scene where he flips the switch, but I noticed it on another one of them in a cutscene during Jack's playthrough. It's one of the first ones if I remember correctly, right around the Barbot mission.
