So my copy is fucked up. Occasionally, the menus will be reversed. This explains why I was having trouble with the missions. I needed to hit cancel in order to start it. I had assumed that the thing was automatically starting.

I think I know what you're seeing there. They used kind of a weird shading visual for those options and whichever one you have highlighted, it looks like your cursor is on the other one instead. I noticed it when I played campaign earlier. It threw me off at first but it's not such a big deal now that I'm used to it.

So it turns out that you can't unlock emblems in private matches. I'd have gotten that 10 kill streak one tonight, but no dice.

We never actually tried taking our party into a public match. We talked about it and then decided not to bother but idk, there might be a way to do that. It would be silly to have such an option in ranked yet player seems like it could be possible.

Meh, I don't even care that much about it, they're just a little JPEG you can see in a lobby sub-menu. It would have been nice to add to my stamp collection in private matches, but playing privates is fine with me regardless.

Also, I'm putting on a custom playlist on my iPod consisting of Streets of Rage music for the next time we play. The standard music is great, but having this shit on is going to be pure magic:
