Complete waste of the Batman license.
It looks fun. I probably won't buy it at full price, but I'll probably get it when it's on DotW some time. If it's good, that is.
very, very strange premise for a game, I mean talk about being loosely based on something
looks interesting though
I think this could be a great game if there are unique adjectives modes and not just place old team death match.
Would have been better to just have all the batman villains factions and no silly batman look-a-likes.
After I figured out how to ignore the voice in my head going "But Batman wouldn't use guns!", I started to think ... eh, we'll see.
This one'll need something more than an unusual gimmick and unexpected premise to move copies. Certainly has possibilities, though.
I am glad that meaty has brought this thread to the top, because dayum. this game looks interesting to me. I am definitely going to follow it and maybe I could even part with the dorrah to buy it.
I got an extra tech (closed) beta invitation if someone wants it.
So this game is finally coming out. When I went to PAX it was the first game I played (because I was interested, it had a CRAZY short line, and it was right next to Lollipop Chainsaw).
If you don't know anything about the game, it's a 6v6 FPS on XBLA, PSN and Steam that features characters dressed up as "The Bats" and "The Jokers" killing each other. Yes, a TF2 comparison is kind of fair.
There's a HUGE level of customization from your body type, your outfits to your weapons and gadgets.
Long story short, the beta for consoles is starting this week and you can get in on it if you act fast.
Eurogamer is giving away keys, or you can just head to the official page and sign-up and you'll surely get in.
It's going to be a lot of fun I promise, and I hope some of you beta up with me.

Didn't Jack already start a thread for this?
On topic, I totally signed up for the beta.
Couldn't find one, feel free to merge if so.
I already signed up for one on two different email accounts and now have this, so look for me to be handing a few out when it comes out.
Yup.
I downloaded the beta earlier thanks toDan DanAurain grabbing me a code.
I tried getting it through eurogamer but I couldn't remember my user name and they don't send that info for recovery stuff.
Then I got a shitty newsletter thing from them that actually mentioned my username. Fuck Eurogamer.
On topic: The 3v3 at Gamescom wasn't really helpful in determining how the game plays but eh, it was ok.

Yeah, there it is if a mod wants to merge one way or another.
I'm not sure I even get what this is or about. TO GOOGLE!

Does this thing even have a single player story mode, or is it all online.
Also, I punctuated that question with a period because it might be rhetorical.
All onlines!
I got a beta code from Eurogamer. From what I've played, it's nice. It's kind of like TF2 mixed with CoD. Predominantly CoD; it borrows a lot: class layout, little card thing, controls, levelling. I haven't had chance to try out the character-creator as it unlocks at higher rank. That'll be the selling point for me, if it's actually decent. Nice humour, but I can imagine the catchphrases will become grating.
Seems okay.
The catchphrases are really really grating, I've only noticed three per side.
