Must be getting a bigger push in the States, or I'm watching the wrong channels in the UK. The Darksiders 2 ad is on a lot here at the moment.

Maybe it's Square Enix games in the UK, I don't remember seeing ads for Deus Ex or Final Fantasy XIII-2 until a couple of days before their release.

Yeah, there's no marketing of this game at all in the UK.

    Deus Ex was plugged a lot, but FFXIII-2 didn't get a look-in.

I haven't seen much TV or printed ads for this game either to be honest in the NYC area.

It's plastered all over Giant Bomb, only reason I know that is because I have no Adblock on phone.

    That looks clean as hell.

I am torn between PC and PS3 but I enjoy laying on my couch SOOO much more than sitting at my desk.

Also can't decide if I should wait or pre-order...BAH!

I'm preordering for PS3 (because couch), and I'll pick up the PC version when it's on sale - that's my MO with most every multiplat game for which I'm torn.

Edit - Mother fucker that's a gorgeous looking game on PC, and wow, did it look smooth! My 4 year old PC wouldn't likely look that good and/or stable, so I'm fine waiting on the Steam version, but if my comp was newer, I'd be super torn. Glad that PC users (possibly) aren't getting shit on by a bad port.

Yeah, I had to google it since I couldn't remember exactly where I heard it, but they really want you to be able to leap over and climb any shit in your way. That sounds great to me.
Oh hey, the new video on the front page shows that.

The voiceover is a bunch of stuff about the PC version that I didn't listen to because Xbox, but everything else is free running. I especially like the slow motion tackle after about one minute in. Nice.

edit - I also posted it again before noticing Remedy had already done it first. LOL ME

If I had a little bit more money, I'd pre-order this for PS3. I don't think my computer could run it, and I love the couch 'cause I'm lazy. I'll have to wait until after the price drops a little bit.

So the dev studio behind this game, United Front, only has one other game under their belt (Mod Nation Racers, and LBP Karting on its way), but that's because they're a newly formed coalition of former employees who made Bully, lots of NFS racing games, Saints Row, Prototype, and others.

Talk about pedigree. PS3 version from Amazon preordered now.

Good trailer. Face models look kind of wonky but whatevs.

I think they captured the Hong Kong Cinema feel they've been going for. Does a good job of selling the "GTA style" of the game without shoving "It's kind of like GTA I guess" down your throat.

I keep forgetting this comes out next week because I don't have it preordered. Sucks in a way because I have a ton of stuff I could trade in, but on the other hand I don't want to wait for the Deep Undercover pack. Come to think of it I'm probably gonna talk to whoever stocks electronics at Walmart, to see how early I can get a copy.

The 360 version looks a little unpolished, and its clear the game doesn't have GTA's budget, but hey, it's looking like a nice alternative.

30 main missions, though? Hm...There was just over 20 for each GTA episode, and they clocked in at a solid 8-12 hours, even if you did the extra activities. I don't mind if the plot isn't overstretched, but I expected a bit more in that department. Maybe I'm just used to sandbox games being too long and empty, though.

If the pc version runs as well as it seems I think that'll be the one to go for, but I'll wait to see if it does in fact have any issues.

I wouldn't directly take anything from that just based on the number of missions, we have no idea how long each of those will be.

They've shown us about 3-4 mission walkthroughs, and depending on each website, they're all 20 minutes-ish (give or take the editing). Not that much different from GTAIV, really.

But yeah, we'll have to wait and see.
