My only complaint, the character models look fantastic but all the items and boxes kind of look shit. But I will pick this up no matter what. Need more Capcom/Disney games.

Not a fan of the genre, but it looks cool I guess.

I wrote a cblog about the original like 5 and a half years ago: http://www.destructoid.com/blogs/Aar...es-50017.phtml

I also did one on the Dungeons & Dragons arcade games that were officially announced: http://www.destructoid.com/licensed-...es-54883.phtml . Capcom is finally listening to me!

Haven't played DuckTales since about 1995. I was quite young but as I recall it was rather tricky in places. I wonder what changes, if any, are being made in terms of difficulty. Hopefully it's as close to the original as possible, I'm really looking forward to this and I don't want to be able to finish it in half an hour on my first go.

Sang along with the whole song, and FINALLY learned some of the lyrics I couldn't make out as a child. Thank you, kareoke-text. You've made my childhood make slightly more sense.

Never got to play this, but you bet your ass I'll be grabbing it.

This, QuackShot and Castle of Illusion were awesome games that I loved in my youth. Look forward to playing this again.

Not keen on the background designs but if it plays the same I can look past that.

The kiddo had never seen the show, so we watched the first five episodes. Now he's been singing the theme song constantly.

That's awesome. My wife just bought a dvd set for the kids. They love it.

It's an oversight that I've corrected. We would have watched it ages ago if that shit was on Netflix.

These reviews are baffling. Like, seriously. There seems to be a trend in them where the reviewer finds the game not challenging enough, but at the same time complains it's too frustrating and punishing.

Gamespot even wants the game to justify its existence in the modern era. I'm guessing the current pool of reviewers are too young and out of their depth to understand games with their roots in older generations. What's really weird about the Polygon review is that the final paragraph says that DuckTales sucessfully meets its end goal but still only gives it a 5 out of 10.

Eh, it's reviews. I've recently discovered that Wikipedia is often a more helpful source of information than professional reviews, as long as I'm only interested in finding out a bit about the game instead of reading an opinion that someone is paid to have, it's now my first stop when I'm deciding whether or not to buy a certain game.

If you can bring yourself to cut through the "journalism", those reviews basically tell us that it is a lot like the original DuckTales game, fine by me, but it wouldn't be much of a review without 500 words of worthless fluff. It doesn't matter too much whether or not a game can justify its existence, fun is fun, and DuckTales is fun.
