Gotham City Imposters Connection Issues! HELP??

So, I decided to finally download my free PS+ copy of Gotham City Imposters last night, and after I installed it and downloaded the latest patch, I fired up the game. After the intro, I get to the title screen and press the X button to start up. I get a "Loading Profile" screen and after about 2-3 minutes I get an "Authentication Error" message that says that the Gamespy server is unavailable or some shit like that.

Any other PS3 users having, or had, this problem?? I did the usual Google searches and all that I could find were threads where people were saying that the Beta had ended (these posts were from back in February...) and that the Gamespy servers could just be offline. Other than that, there wasn't a single site that had any info for any people posting the same issue I had.

Any ideas, thoughts, or whatever you've got would be greatly appreciated.

All I know is that after the Aurora, Colorado tragedy GCI has (allegedly) seen a spike in sales. (The Steam version was running short on CD Keys. I actually didn't even know that was possible.) It may be server overload.

Well, whatever the issue was, it's working now. Maybe server maintenance or some shit.

Oh well, I didn't really like what I played anyways.

Actually, now that you mention it, a friend of mine is having trouble with the server as well. Course it was for his laptop though. He doesn't know if it's the in-game server or the one at his house. Weird thing is that he can play it elsewhere. I haven't played the game on my PS3 recently, but I might soon just to see if there's a problem.
EDIT: I talked with him and he said it was a server problem on his end. Oh well.
