    Hello from a Muppet

Hi I'm Beaker, a 25 year old bloke from England. I've been visiting Destructoid for years and finally decided to join the forum. I'm also a big fan of Mr Sterling!

Since I built a PC earlier this year, I've been using it as my main gaming machine and with the current Steam Summer Sale I've bought more games than are probably necessary (But they are sooo cheap!).

I'm looking forward to delving into the dark depths these forums!

England is a silly place. Where are you from and what do you do? Any specific games or genres you love? Anything you bought in this sale you were really happy to pick up for a low low price? Welcome!

Welcome to the forums fellow bulldog loving Islander.

I bought more than I needed on Steam too and the only other game I've played this week other than Diablo is Halo 2 on PC.

I'm from a small-ish town called Southend in the South east. I'm an ICT Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, which I really enjoy! I just started the 6 week summer holiday so I've got plenty of time to play all those games I bought.

The Darkness 2 and Binary Domain stand out for me from the sale. Heard good things about the two of them.

I used to go to Southend all the time when I was back home. I loved all the arcades lining the beach front. Always visited the same fish 'n chip shop there too. It's on the side of the beach in a large white hut, you probably know it. Past the crazy golf course, a lot further up.

    Welcome to the boards!

Good stuff, welcome to the forums!

What sort of books, tv and movies do you like? Got any favourites?

What do you do outside of gaming for fun?

Favorite Wu Tang Clan member? Also, you may like Mr. Sterling now, but I've heard many'a things 'bout the old Jimquisitor that are less than flattering 'round these here forums.

    Er, hi. Welcome.

EDIT: This intro also reminds me of how much I actually enjoyed the Muppets movie. It made me wonder if I was a man or a muppet.

    Thanks for the welcome guys!

Outside of gaming I listen to Heavy Metal music, my favourites being Lamb of God and Machine Head. Favourite film is Shaun of the Dead (I love them Zombies!)

I once saw a Jim Sterling out in the wild. Thought about going over to have a chat but wussed out 'cos I thought he'd tell me to get lost or something.

From what I've heard he's pretty approachable in real-life.

I mean he'll probably put a pine cone up your arse or something but other than that, lovely!
