SUP NERDS! ARE YOU READY FOR SOME SWEATY, HOMOEROTIC, BUFF MAN ON MAN statistical analysis? I HOPE YOU ARE! CAUSE DTOID'S FANTASY FOOTBALL IS BACK FOR 2012!

Just like last year and the year before, I wanted to announce that Destructoid's own brand of community run fantasy football is coming back again! As we did the last two years, we're planning on doing another PRIZE LEAGUE, where if you win, you get stuff that the losers gave up. Not just stuff, but COOL stuff. In 2010, I won, and I got a GAMEBOY from ChillyBilly, a Morbo minifig from bbrigg and other cool stuff! Last year, ChillyBilly won my own personal copy of PARAPPA THA RAPPA on PSX, some amazing Chiptunes albums from JT Icefire and other assorted goodies. JT will once again step up and handle the prizes, so mad kudos to him!

It's good times, and we had a ton of fun the last couple of years with this. WWE HAVE 10 SPOTS FILLED, BUT ZP WANTS IN, SO WE NEED ONE MORE TO EXPAND THE LEAGUE TO 12!

ONE MORE SPOT left open for you guys! If you want in, post in this thread and then send me a PM that INCLUDES YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, and make sure you start thinking of a prize you'd not only want to receive, but that youd also be willing to lose! Essentially, we will be sending all prizes to JT, who has awesomely volunteered to handle the duty. The long story of it is, be awesome, sign up, send JT a prize (details will be in the his post), and maybe 3 or 4 dollars to help with shipping in the end, and you will then be eligible to WIN prizes. The reason we do a prize league and send them off to a prize czar is because it encourages people to keep playing even if they are losing. And frankly even if you're in last place, keep trying! Any given Sunday is the rule, and you could always screw over someone who is actually in the running! There are no hard feelings here, it's football!

The LIVE draft is tentatively set for AUGUST 20th at 7:30PM EST (4:30PST). BUT, I set it early in case this needs to be pushed back, as the NFL regular season starts on September 5th, but a week early is good because it encourages trades and other fun stuff.

The draft order will be random, but JT (Last place last year) will pick first and Chilly (First place last year) will pick #10! The rest of us are chosen FROM THE HAT!

So start thinking of a hilarious team name, your strategy and a prize that is hopefully somewhat video game related, and then PM me your email address, and you will be sent an invite.

Waiting on Fox to give the official word, but prizes will be handled like the past two years:

1. Putting up a prize is optional, but if you don't submit one, you're not eligible to win anything. Your share goes to the next finisher.
2. All submitted prizes go into one pool, to be divided among the top three finishers, in order of their place.
3. All prizes will be sent to me to hold through the season. I'll take care of sending the winners their stuff.
4. Keep it small, approximately a $30 limit.
5. Before you send anything, make sure either Fox or I have approved it first.
