    iOS users (data usage)

Hey folks, wondering if anyone can help me with a data issue on iOS. I've had to go back to my iPhone temporarily until I can afford my new Android device.

Anyway, I haven't used this OS for a long time and my data allowance is disappearing quickly each month. The only apps I use are Feeddler Pro and Tapatalk and as these both run fine and fairly quick with 3G turned off, I'm positive it's neither of these apps causing the issue.

I've just now turned off everything in the notification centre, something I hadn't realised existed as I haven't used this phone for a long time. I'm hoping this is the issue as I don't need to see what it's pulling and I never read desktop based, graphic intensive sites on Safari.

It's strange that I've gone from doing the same things I did on Windows Phone and I'm now eating up 3-4x the same amount of data.

Any clues or helpful advice on this would be greatly appreciated. If this is the wrong place for this, I apologise.

    What version are you running?

    What's the mail polling rate?

Got Twitter and Facebook running in the background?

Note that you can only kill apps in the "Double-home/four-fingers up" menu, the OS allows for apps to slumber (or silently run) until the memory needs to be reallocated.

Thanks for posting but I got rid of the iPhone a while back now. Running with a Galaxy S3 and much happier than I was using that old iPhone.
