Thread: Marvel vs Capcom: Origins

  1. #41
I'm just not that excited for these.

Maybe if it was more of a true origins collection, I would be. The real roots are SF Alpha and X-men Children of the Atom, resulting in X-men Vs. Street Fighter THEN the other games.

Then again, MVC1 does let me do my Chunny/Gambit team, though the lack of Rogue displeases me.

Capcom can't play around with anything with the X-men name in it.

Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter was available but that game is ass, and I admit that while it's the first arcade game I ever played and grew to enjoy.

I might be the only one excited for Marvel Super Heroes' inclusion. Now if they'd put out D&D Tower of Doom/Shadow Over Mystara pack I'd pretty much never need to load up MAME again to get my 90's arcade nostalgia fix.

Isn't that kinda what Dragon's Crown is for? Its by the creator of Tower of Doom.

I don't know what that is but I'm going to google it right now!

EDIT: Holy shit, do want. Thanks for pointing that out!

That trailer shows/says that this port has been upgraded to high definition...

...how come it doesn't look like it?

No idea why they even brought it up, redrawing the sprites in HD from the ground up would be way too expensive and time-consuming for a quick cash-grab like this.

Anyway, do want. While it's not at the top of my list, I'll drop $15 for a game I spent the entire summer of 1998 playing. I just hope they somehow work in the Mega Man Magnetic Shockwave easter egg from the Playstation version.

Capcom has made it a habit to port over the dreamcast versions of titles, if they exist. They did with 3rd strike, MvC2, SF2 Turbo, and the other soon to be released title JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

If it's not in the Dreamcast version I wouldn't expect it to return.

WANT. X-men Vs. Street Fighter was awesome. I'm also really fond of the Infinity Gauntlet game - although super-speed Spider-Man was ridiculous.

Oh, God. Combo-heavy 6 button fighter. 360 controller is giving me absolute failure. Hope I still have a fight pad around somewhere.

Alright, picking this up today, training this week while I make the transition over from ISPs and then hopping on to dominate fools who think they can hang. The only three people from Dtoid who have ever been able to hang are me, Rab, Bloo and maaaaybe Cataract on good days. Wry, you still have to prove yourself.

    Total euphemism.
