My Vegeta in Budokai 3 was baller as fuck, so was my Bardock but only because I knew an infinite with him.

So far reports are there will not be any online, which is lame as fuck. One of our peers(Rob the most famous forum member who doesn't post) is all about the current DBZ games that are water-down faginations of these budokai games.

I would've loved to shit on him online, I hope namco adds that GGPO netcode that DBZ arcade has.

That's awesome, even without online. (Which is still balls.) I know it isn't the most competitive-caliber game out there, but it's fun as hell. Budokai 3 was awesome and I preferred it far more than Tenkaichi.

I forget who my regular was. Probably Vegeta. Occasionally liked to own people as Broly because why not.

I think the lamest thing I still own is a set of Zeta Gundam pencil sharpeners that came with the DVD box set.

Music was changed on both games because the original composer was caught in 2010 stealing a bunch of songs and putting them in Dragon Ball Z Kai. He did this over the years too, 2 songs in Budokai 1 were plagiarized, B3 had none but they removed those anyway.

This sucks donkey balls, and I will dock points accordingly, but I can see why Bandai said fuck you no royalties/credit for this shit.

Also, no online play whatsoever.

Achievements are easy as fuck to get, this like some 2006 EA sports game level of difficulty. I got all of B1's cheevos in about 2 hours of half assing effort.


At 40 dollars I still feel like they asked for too much for so little.


10/10 Better off finding a PS2 and the games for the best experience.
