Watch the show Snapped and see if you still feel the same way...

The day I knew I was set to adore older women was the day I got an erection watching that show as a young pup.

That first post is pretty good. LoL

I wouldn't say girls suck at gaming. Not all of it. Competitive gaming, yeah. I've seen enough of
those try-hards to know. Girl-gamer clans. Hahahah. -_- They only wish they knew about....

My question is: why aren't there more girls actually making games?

  9. #89
That's actually a really good point. There's next to no female presence in the industry which is weird I think.

They're there. You just never hear about them. Same way you never hear about code monkeys that worked on "x" triple A game. Who's going to care when you're among a staff of dozens, if not hundreds.

They need to be spearheading projects to get any limelight, like Ass Creed or Deus Ex 3. I thought it was great that women were the creative leads.

That's not really the case. From the beginning at college level or university to employment the ratio is always much more men than women. Most women have been entering into art, modelling and animation side too so it shows most women still don't want to break into fields widely known as nerdy and male dominated.

Besides, it makes no sense that women just don't have any attention brought to them. Most of the faces you see from developers are people high up and a lot of these cases it's men. Either they're stopping women from taking positions with responsibility or the low presence from women just makes the odds more in favour of the men.

Well, that's the more depressing part of the problem that I didn't want to address, but yeah.

Somebody should force 90% of those men to have a sex change. That would even the odds.

So pretty much any game that requires hand/eye coordination (skill) and random button smashing?

That sums it up right there...

Exactly....no lessons in using Ryu's Hadouken there...simple kicking and punching, overuse of blocking and dirty tactics like cornering and repetitive single button attacking. I really hate when people don't know how to play or even learn how to play a game. -_-

Its all interest really, the article reads like someone got stomped on by one of those loud-mouth girl gamers so off he went to the internet to find FACTS to make himself feel better by bashing an entire gender.

    Dude needs to chillax.
