It's named "ZombiU" because it is the spiritual successor of their earlier game (and I mean, EARLIER) Zombi, which released back in 1986 for the PC.

nice find. I gotta try that out.
The permadeath concept is interesting to me as well. Investing that much into your character could be pretty huge for the overall immersion factor. And I'm all for developers finding some way around the trite game over/checkpoint concept.
I just hope there isn't too much repetition; as in, I hope there are shortcuts here and there that you can open up for your next character to use, sort of like in Demon's Souls. I wonder how much exactly you can carry over from one character to the next in terms of environmental impact; in other words, do zombies stay dead if you kill them? Do they respawn automatically?

I blew your mind, didn't i?

You blew something.

Still gonna buy it day one, I may be let down in the end but it's not like that'd be the first time a game has not lived up to the hype I've created for it.
Brand new trailer from Gamescom

Awesome trailer.
I cannot wait to play through this game:

Looks badass. I'll wait for the inevitable port to the other consoles.

Looks like the team behind ZombiU is taking a page out of the Dark Souls / Demon Souls book:
- leave messages for other survivors

That's pretty tight.
PS - You're like, my number one source for news on this game, Chilly.
Yea, I'm sure it'll get swept under the rug by most gamers simply because it's on a "Nintendo" console. Because you know, Nintendo consoles don't have core or mature rated games on them, it's all party games and family fun.
Oh and if anyone believes that, they need to stop gaming and go find another hobby. =)

The Wii had fine games, and so will the Wii U. Doesn't mean the controllers for either console aren't gimmicky shit though![]()
