    1. Dexter - Nominate CB
    2. ZombiePlatypus
    3. ClownBaby - Nominate Dex
    4. Usedtabe [Sheriff] - Nominate CB x2
    5. Bizarro - Nominate CB
    6. Tarvu
    7. FromTheRiver
    8. Muckfoot

    I concede. :\

I'll let Byronic do his post game analysis but I'm the final wolf, it was just me and River.

We had debated killing Tarvu the night we killed Muckfoot, River suggested Mucko instead and we went for it. Probably would have had a better chance then.

I had put Used on the witch (as I said, using one to save somebody the first night and then killing is an aggressive move...right up his alley)

I decided to claim it, but Dexter beat me to the punch be SECONDS.

I was telling the truth in that the error made me reload the page with my post in progress after I had posted it, which made me edit it. I thought it would double post so I deleted what was there, not realizing I was editing the main post. Dexter saw the original post, then the "update" with nothing, then the fix.

    Thoughts:
The Witch is interesting. Would work better with a larger group I think.
A small group kind of needs to have no Seer I think, though that might just be me.

Sidenote: Running one AND playing one is tough.

I was hoping my "Oh shiiiiit I forgot to say something reels important!" comment would get me killed as I was as vanilla a villager as they come in this game and knew fuck all, figured better me than someone with a useful role. I'd like to think it's why FTR wanted me dead. Either that or he thinks I'm a prick... which would be fair.

Since it's over according to Clown, I want to comment on this:

Really, dude?! I mean, regardless of if you really figured something out or not, making yourself a target by saying you did during the night phase is as silly as it gets.

Also, assuming Clown is the only remaining wolf, Dex just is a silly villager in general. The things he says and his false logic just paint him poorly.

    Thanks CB.

As the crowd shook in grief over the death of another of their own, one hapless villager was only now making his way into the square. Oblivious to current events, he complained of having too large a midnight snack. On top of this, he featured a big bushy tail and a mane of hair that spread across his body and extended down to his ankles. Obvious though his true identity was, the townsfolk couldn't bring themselves to end the life of this poor witless wolf. Instead, they threw him into the Sheriff's jail, doomed to bear a life filled with hip hop and scat music and listening to Usedtabe chat about his exercise routine. His prayers for death were futile.

ClownBaby was caught. He was a Wolf.

The game is over. The Villagers win.

    Players:
    1. Dexter - Witch [Lover]
    2. ZombiePlatypus - Villager
    3. ClownBaby - Wolf
    4. Usedtabe - Cupid [Lover]
    5. Bizarro - Vigilante
    6. Tarvu - Seer
    7. FromTheRiver - Wolf
    8. Muckfoot - Villager

There we have it. I think the game was quite well balanced. The Witch trumps the Bodyguard for games of anything less than a dozen players. I know Usedtabe isn't a fan of the lovers but he seemed to be happy to get the Cupid role. A lot of fun can be had with Cupid and it's an interesting enough role to play, especially when a Wolf is a Lover.

Tarvu was quite lucky to have seen a Wolf on the first night, but it didn't seal the game off the bat. CB might have been better off feigning a Villager and suggesting one of the dead used to be the Witch instead of Dexter. He also should have tried to nominate someone else as Sheriff once Dexter grew excited to get the role for Used. Once Used was elected, CB couldn't have won without Used up and deciding to troll Dexter. And what's more, the Wolves would have been better off pursuing Used a second night, given how the Witch was flat out of saving potions and Used was claiming to be a Lover. It would have swung the game their way.

I'm surprised nobody has called Dexter out on his statement that Usedtabe was informed he had been targeted by the wolves on night 1, and that nobody questioned Used when he confirmed this. I was worried I had somehow slipped up and told Used but when I searched my PMs I couldn’t figure out how that could have happened. Dex, was that just a bare-faced bluff or were you telling the truth?

I'd like to give GMing another go, maybe if we get more players I can throw in another role or two.

    That was quick.

    I'm the last wolf.

Running and playing is tough because I had to participate in this while keeping up with what was going on in the main and during the second night updating it as well. That's why I did like nothing the first night.

I decided to get cheeky and claim Witch, not knowing that the person protected would be told. But I thought Used was the Witch anyways and that wouldn't have mattered. I didn't put Dex on it at all.

DAMN YOU MUCKY. The original target for that night was Tarvu. I suggested we change it when you started flapping about blowing the game open.

Good job baiting me though. You saved your seer with it, so props for a sensible sacrifice!

Bummed that my first round as a werewolf ended so quickly but congrats to Tarvu for spotting me on the first night.

    This reminds me...

on the first night I had 2 votes, half the players had nominated somebody and we had 2 players left. I should have gotten it then :\

How'd you figure? I knew the game had several useful villager roles (seer, witch, vigilante etc) and there were probably only half a dozen villagers in this small game so I figured the wolves had a fifty
percent chance to strike lucky and kill a useful role. I had no useful role so decided to paint a very large target on my back, if they went for it then I've indirectly saved someone more useful, if they kept me alive then hey I'm still in the game.

If I actually knew something important in a game I wouldn't allude to it at night 'cos I'm aware I probably wouldn't live til morning. Did more than you did, foo.

Four players had abstained, twice as much as the highest nominated player. Although Tarvu and FTR hadn't bolded an abstain, since everybody had already voted for lynching I decided to take their silence as an abstain and call the phase as per the rules. I think that might be better changed to have players having to expressly state a nomination or abstain but then that gets very messy for players trying to figure out how the votes to lynch are working out. I figured we'd try it this way to keep the game moving and prevent it from trudging through the cumbersome "nominate for trial, then vote to lynch" system. But if I GM again, I think I'll change it to avoid ambiguity.

No the lynch thing was good, but you should have waited to see all the thoughts on Sheriff nomination and gotten those.

You did a fine job running it though by the way. If you would want to run a "full" game you should get an idea ready, perhaps just a larger expansion of this.

I like this type of game because I get to run my mouth.

"But ZP, you're not helping, you're a distraction!"

Oh I'm very helpful, given more than a day or two.

With how Used and Dex were talking I'm surprised I'm the only one that realized they were the lovers, or at least surprised that the wolves didn't figure it out and kill one of 'em, getting a twofer. Really surprised.

I was under the assumption you really did have something figured out. After Byron posted showing you were just a dude like me, and you confirming you actually knew nothing just now, it makes sense. YOU DONE GOOD.

The game I'm running and the ones we've done are fun but I do prefer these ones the most. We need to find a middle ground better, but going back to basics is a good idea.

We DID attack Used on the first night. Second we did Muckfoot: that was mostly River since I was distracted with the main game and it seemed like an OK idea.

After that Tarvu had outed himself and I had initially typed up to attack Used thinking it my best hope (thinking him a Lover) but I realized that if Tarvu was really the Seer which I knew he was, he would out me anyways and having just caught a wolf he would be believed.

I think I had everybody on their roles correctly though. This was interesting.

Y'all attacked Used before the Lover thing even came out. Not what I'm talking about. Rather than offing Muck, I think you guys should've offed Used or Dex if you wanted to win.

Clown must have been gutted when he saw Dex had beaten him to confessing the witch role, that was one hell of a cover up attempt though with Clown blaming a supposed crash!

At least I got to see two people claim to be the same role.

Damn. I intended on getting Dexter and I killed to troll him but figured he was a wolf when he lied about protecting me. I think he was lying because I never got a notice I was attacked or protected. Here I was going along thinking this would be the first win of a wolf/villager lover team. Should have just called Dex's bluff and got us killed as planned.

    >mfw no one believed me when I claimed to be Cupid and a Lover.

I did. But it wasn't beneficial to attack you again.

Also I KNEW that was bullshit you got a notice. Should have told the truth, let Dexter be hung and then I would have won
