So, what does everyone think? I am personally insanely excited to see more. People dismiss it as a 'zombie game', but I would trust Naughty Dog to make it more than just that. A survival horror with a deep story is what I want it to be.

What do you all think it could be about now, based on the VGA trailer? I noticed the male character was brutally killing another human in one scene, so maybe these mutants arent the only enemies.
Also, the girl says 'This is all I know' and "He says these streets were once filled with people'. This might suggest this has been happening since before she was born?

Im excited to see what Naughty Dog can do with 3 years of development, when considering the Uncharted games were all done in 2

The trailer was amazing. Nice to see a game with 28 Days Later-type monsters chasing you around. That, and the fact he had to kill another survivor gave it another interesting spin.

I've got my eye on this one.

Yeah, I like survival horror and all but I don't know why everybody's suddenly so obsessed with zombies.

Still, I'm interested to see what Naughty Dog can do with the concept.

I liked the characters, the older one looks after the younger one and remembers the world beforehand and the younger one was raised in the horror. Interesting.

I watched the trailer about 5 fucking times. There's something about the way he pulls back the hammer and knows that the click has given them away that's just perfection on a stick. Naughty Dog really know how to nail reactions.

I do wish the creatures looked more human, though. The rest...well, it was easily the game that facinated me the most, next to Alan Wake's American Nightmare (only because I'm an uber-fan of AW).

If it's like Ashley in RE4 I wouldn't mind. Escort missions can be alright if it doesn't become babysitting.

It sure looked like game engine footage to me. Naughty Dog certainly has the chops for it. But none of it looked like actual gameplay. That always concerns me a little. The hammer-click thing was very cool, but I can't see that actually happening during play.

True but even if they're not helpless AI sidekicks can be annoying - the whole AI co-op partner thing in RE5 was a pain in the arse at times, especially on higher difficulties. Hopefully whatever they do with it characters will be able to keep themselves alive.
