Parker and Stone are writing the script, performing the dialogue, and overseeing the development of South Park: The Game. Unlike the cash-in Acclaim titles from over a decade ago, this ambitious project is a full-scale RPG for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. As the new kid in South Park, it'll be up to you to make friends and defend the town from a wide range of threats.

I'm glad it's getting the attention to detail their episodes get. I'd love to see references to their hits from season 4-8, which were just incredible years for the show.

I am fucking stoked that Trey and Matt are involved 100% with this project. They are geniuses at what they do. Coupled with the fact that Obsidian is developing the game just seals the deal for me.

    CAN'T FUCKING WAIT!

Third time's the charm! Seriously though, this is the part that has me interested.

Finally, an idea that fits South Park.

As for Obsidian, sure, they may have made Alpha Protocol and the cancelled Aliens: Crucible (for the best), but they redeemed themselves with New Vegas. Don't blame them for not finishing Sith Lords, either. Luck has rarely been on Obsidian's side, but when it works out, it works out just fine.

This. With 15 seasons of characters, locations and such to draw from it could be something really special, having a South Park game in any other genre is just tacky.

Obsidian games are amazing that happen to also be always broken.

I just wonder how shiny and glossy everything's going to look, since the South Park look is pretty drab and dull.

Apparently Dungeon Siege 3 was pretty good about not being broken?

But the South Park game on the N64 was.... Great.

This game could either be really good or really bad. I'm hoping that it's really good considering Matt and Trey are behind this. But we'll have to wait and see.

BAHAHAHAHA! I just took a closer look at the reflections in the pool. Mainly Kenny's. So fucking good!

I guess they can't get the same expression on Kenny's face without a mouth, so it had to be a look of concern/confusion instead.

That GI cover alone has me excited. I'll remain cautiously optimistic for the time being.

I think he's concerned/confused that he looks like a woman in his RPG reflection.

Anyway, this was a genuine surprise. But games based on animated TV series are rarely good. Cautiously interested?
