Btw, I underlaid an arrangement of the Evil Dead score under used's recap and it sounds great. Will have the show finished and uploaded early tomorrow morning assuming I don't get stuck at work for a double shift.
For your first game as moderator, and especially with only a few people playing, you probably want to stick with a lot of the basic roles.
Seer: check one person at night to see if he is bad
Bodyguard: protect one person at night from being killed
Vigilante: Automatically kill one person at night
Werewolf: team up to kill one player per night
Villagers: No special abilities
Adding or subtracting from that is fine, but you do want to be careful with the balance. Blowouts one way or the other aren't too much fun; the best games are the close ones.
Since we're all playing members of a family we definitely need to have the lovers. Get some of that Flowers in the Attic shit going.
Can someone explain the lovers? Also, I'll be trying to get the first post and roles together, or at least started, this weekend. Probably won't be until late next week that I can start, though. Life is busy.
The Lovers is a set of roles for two people that can stack on top of other roles, and when one dies by any means, the other dies. If both Lovers are Villagers, they win with the Villagers. If both Lovers are Werewolves, they win with the Werewolves. If one of the Lovers is a Villager and the other is a Werewolf, then they form their own third team, and they only win if they are the last two players left alive.
There is the option for a Cupid role, which gives one player the power to choose which two players are the Lovers. I prefer for the Lovers to be randomized by the moderator, but others here love Cupid.
