Exactly. It's stupid to be afraid to lynch people in case they have a semi-precious role considering A) how unlikely that is and B) how it will still give us a great advantage over the baddies.

Being afraid to even challenge others in case it provokes them to reveal their special role is a losing game for the villagers.

Yes but they provide the moderately decent player with kills, making them look better. They have their place.
