Oh, you should've just said it's for science, that makes everything ok then.

I would think everybody has had ample opportunity to second if they wanted to. Want to officially cast your vote, Knives? Then the new night can start.

    Night Phase 5

The villagers descended on Bleep, who had remained quiet for the first few days. Certainly, his silence was a sign of evil! Executing people is the way of the human, and anybody who goes against that must be a lycanthrope!

The villagers still had no rope for a hanging, and the plank that Shinobi13 had walked off broke overnight, so it would be impossible for the villagers to push Bleep over the edge of town. How could they execute Bleep, to ensure he wouldn't transform that night?

"I know," said the Medic's NPC assistant. "We can drop him in the leech tub. It's a tub full of leeches that we use to protect people from werewolf attacks. It turns out it's not particularly effective to that end, but I'm pretty sure it could be used to kill somebody!"

The villagers slowly lowered Bleep into the huge, leech-filled bucket. While it was probably more annoying than painful, Bleep could feel the life draining from his body as he lost several pints of blood to the parasites.

As his eyes closed for the last time, the weather took a turn for the foreshadowing. The clouds turned to methane gas, which instantly ignited in the atmosphere. With flames leaping across the sky, the balloon holding up Forumville was incinerated. Without any source of buoyancy, the entire sky fortress began its plummet toward the Sahara Desert. As most villagers panicked, three strangely calm villagers walked to the center of the town square, unearthed a secret tunnel, and hopped in.

Some wondered what was down there, but most didn't notice. That is, most didn't notice, until a loud roar came from the belly of the village. As if falling at terminal velocity weren't enough to cause a panic, the fortress split in two, and a rocket ship launched from the wreckage. Nobody could tell who was in it, but the last image many of the villagers saw was a crudely painted message on the side of the ship:

    WEREWOLVES RULE!

    Game over, werewolves win!

I will leave it up to the individual werewolves to reveal themselves. After that, I will hand out awards. Here are the categories:

    Most Evil Werewolf Award
Best Guess by a Villager Award
    Biggest Mistake in Hindsight Award
WTF You Broke my Game Award
    Irony Award

The dead are allowed to speak again, so I'm curious. Who do you think the werewolves are? Since it ended at six villagers, that indeed means that three were werewolves and three were non-werewolves.

    Well this has been fun.

In hindsight, revealing upon death whether a villager was human or werewolf is definitely the way to go. I felt like this was very one-sided.

For the record though, we werewolves never PMed during the day. We corroborated on who to eat and sometimes shared strategies, but we never secretly talked during the day. That made the most sense, and I think that should be the rule. It was wonderful to see my brothers interact and the choices they made. When Victor immediately voted to Save Aerox I thought it was a crazy curveball to throw right away. Even though I wanted Aerox dead ASAP I had to play along.

It was Mr.Brightside's "I'll be watchin' ye, Knives... I'll be watchin' ye. " comment that made us think he was the seer, so we ate him the 2nd day.

I think Bleep should get the best guess. He got two out of three right. Three out of three if you count when he nominated me for execution. Well played, sir.

Nice work, lads. I think we did quite well.

Sorry for nominating you there at the end, Victor. I was very confident that you wouldn't be lynched anyway and figured it would grant either you or me deniability if one of us faced the full wrath of the villagers.

    I never noticed that.

Ladies and gentlemen, your three werewolves! Give them a hand, they really put on a good show. I thought it was funny when Knives grouped all of the villagers as either quiet, normal, or aggressive. One of the werewolves ended up in each category. Anyway, award time!

Most Evil Werewolf Award goes to... Victor! Seriously, the first PM I got from him was that he wanted to kill Zodiac to not only drop a villager, but to lower morale among the survivors. He made baseless accusations, but then as Kyle pointed out, voted to save Aerox before anybody else. Really caught me by surprise.

Best Guess by a Villager does indeed go to... Bleep! Throughout the game, I got PMs and Gtalks from various players, and while I tried not to inject any hidden information, some guessed at the werewolves' identities. Bleep got two of three right. To be fair, he was the last one to guess, when there were fewer possibilities.

The Irony Award goes to... Shinobi13! As he was being executed, he kept going on about how important it is to be right. This is, of course, after he had nominated Aerox and Bleep to be executed. I was also considering giving him the That Makes No Sense Award, for the combo ideas of "being right is all that matters," but "I won't ever change my mind about anything, even if I'm wrong." Good job, Shinobi13! You convinced your teammates to murder you!

The WTF You Broke my Game Award of course goes to... Knives! He came up with the game-winning exploit, and it would have worked if the villagers got behind it. It seems like it'd be a bit of a hollow victory, if Knives were the only villager left in the village. But hey, you found a loophole that is forcing me to amend my rules a bit. It's a learning experience.

Lastly, the Biggest Mistake in Hindsight Award goes to... Aerox! As many of you surmised, Aerox was the Seer. Of course, some of you didn't pick up on it. By merely hinting that he was the Seer, the wolves picked up on it and decided to eat him, but I suspect that two people didn't pick up on the hint. Cadtalfryn probably would not have made the same hint if he realized what he was hinting at, and Mxy, the Medic, probably would have elected to save Aerox that night. In hindsight, it probably would have been better for Aerox to completely spill the beans at that point. Mxy probably would have saved him, but even if not, he could have passed on to the villagers all of what he had found out: that both Knives and Shinobi13 were regular villagers. On the third night, he also found out that Zodiac was not a werewolf, but he was killed before he could tell anybody.

And now, planning for Game 2. Mxy, Zodiac, should we continue on in this thread, or should each game get its own? I would personally prefer the latter, but I know how this board shies away from clutter.

Also, where should it go? It's not really Game Discussion, it's a discussion game. Off Topic Lists? Or is it fine where it is?

At first, I had no idea what in the heck this was, so I steered clear. It actually looks like a good bit o' fun. I might be interested in a round 2.

  14. #294
I knew it was Byronic, but the other two come as a surprise, well played all. (victor you're dead to me)

We should keep it all in this thread so that 1)we don't have a new one for each game cluttering the boards and 2) so new people can quickly figure out what the heck we're doing by reading through previous games.

Not sure if we need to move it or not, it's kinda a game, but if you like we can put it in the bar.
    I'm down for round two.

My loyalty is true, but so is my belly. And I will take care of Carlo, don't worry.

I'll pass on the next game. Year's ending, lots of tests.

Also I'm not sure how I feel about the leeches... it would really "suck" to die that way...

Made me think of Stand By Me

Aye fair fucks to Bleep, he was right on the money in the end (if only anyone had listened!).
