I stabbed that fucker good. He was my favorite character in Awakening (excluding Oghren, the lovable little guy). WHY did they ruin him?!

I loved that they added depth to his character, but did the depth have to included the Extremely Whiny Bitch area?
Apparently. I would've also liked Greg Ellis to voice him, but apparently they're trying to break away from voice actors doing multiple roles. Which begs the question: why did they have Vaughn do Hawke?
I hope that somehow both my Warden and Hawke meet up. That was the coolest one on the list so far. Also more Leliana, varric, and Alistair.
But damn! I never saw that Sandal thing until now. I knew he was supposed to be some kind of an "idiot savant" type character, but I didn't think there'd be anything like that. I think the thing with Morrigan's baby has to do with the Black City. Plus after the latest DAII DLC, I definitely think the Imperium is going to play a bigger role in the story.
I hope so. Does it freak anyone else out how the Chantry was right about the Tevinter mages?
I don't mind Alistair being in it, just not too heavily. I want more Flemeth and the return of Morrigan, voiced by Claudia Black again (don't dare switch that shit up).
Not sure if I'm fussed about a conclusion regarding-though a random DLC whereSpoiler!would be fun.Spoiler!
I highly doubt it will be as strategically focussed as DA:O. Since EA came along, everything they've done has been pushed more and more toward mindless action.
I swear I heard a rumor somewhere, maybe it was the Bioware forums that DA3 won't have Hawke or your Warden in it. I really hope that's not true 'cause that'd be really shitty. We already got invested in our wardens, couldn't play them in DA2, then I personally got invested in "my" Hawke. If I don't get to play as either of them...well like I said shitty.
I want them to be in it as party members or otherwise large roles, but I want a new third character.
Meh, I didn't like Morrigan. She was interesting, sure, but MAN was she a bitch. I romanced her, realized how rude she was, and went to Leliana. Never went back.
I'd be completely fine with a new protagonist. Too many games and stories are suffering from Star Wars syndrome, in that a handful of people are responsible for every single event across the entire generational timeline.
That said, I highly doubt the caliber of writing or gameplay will justify any story either way. I'm seriously disillusioned by the series after 2, and it even suppress my desire to put anymore time into DA:O, which I have close to 200 hours invested.
I know what you mean about Star Wars syndrome or Die Hard syndrome (lookin at you Live Free or Die Hard), but at the same time the games make it clear that your warden and Hawke are "important" characters. I wouldn't mind a new character, but don't let the other ones fall by the wayside.
The Warden can't come back, he's dead. HE'S DEAD.![]()
As with Mass Effect 3, I shall try to play the first two games before this game comes out. I think I have more than enough time. ^_^
I'm fine with a new character in DAIII, though I have a funny feeling you'll play as either/both Warden or Hawke.
It's not like KOTOR - where I'd INSIST on playing as Revan again and/or Exile.
Tarvu, it took them 16 months to make DA II. If they hold to that formula again, you have a year, tops.
ZP, WELL SO IS SHEPARD.
Glowbo, I'm fairly certain Gaider said you won't be playing as either. I'll need to find that post, but I do believe that's what he said. I want yet another amazing third character. The Warden and Hawke could be like Snake in MGS2, only the way you built their characters (based off of certain decisions for the Warden, I suppose. Hawke has one of three--count em--three personalities). EA will make sure it's super-actioney, anyhow. Might as well make them the Archdemon/Mother/Meredith/Arishock (LOL, Hawke's enemies suck) slaying badasses they are.
