GENTLEMEN
It's that time again....
Simple yet so daunting. But now you guys have a bit of time to mull it over compared to last year. DO NOT DISAPPOINT ME.This is an event within the month of September in which on the first day, a man will shave his face in its entirety and then refrain from shaving until the first day of the following month. Giving his beard a full 31 days to flourish. Many who participate in this event will do so in a group of people and compare their beards on the 31st of the month and determine who is the Septembeard Champion. *Note* - Girlfriends, Wives, Fiances & Mothers, more often than not, are against the Septembeard festivities and will often complain.
Those of us with cameras to record progress will post daily pictures here. Those w/o can still participate, in possibly more than one way.
There is a website sporting the Septembeard brand that is taking donations for prostate cancer research, with the options of signing up as a team or individual to be sponsored for it. To 1-up last year, I thought it'd be interesting for us to meet the challenge. Only thing is, some red flags went up for me while looking around the website - there's no contact information, there's no message board or feedback page, and on the donation page there's only a credit card option. So.... what the fuck. Furthermore, I tried looking it up on a couple of the medical organizations' websites it says the "donations" will be going to, and there's no mention of it. At all.
So now I'm thinking, even though it's a bit down to the wire, whether there's a way to set up something Dtoid specific. Maybe a front page post or something. Just spitballing here to spice things up. Thought/ideas appreciated.
At any rate, I'll make a blog post in a bit, so that c-bloggers can get in on the action, since a few of them felt a bit gipped after I made the "results" post last year. Which was pretty funny.
