What game do you regret buying?

Morning dtoiders! I was cleaning out my room recently and I stumbled on my old cache of computer games. You know back when you had to buy the discs. Going through them I found some gems but mostly found some games that in hindsight I really regret buying. Mostly MMO's. This was back in the phase where I had "quit" WoW and was looking for another MMO to replace it with. Age of Conan, EQ2, and warhammer all were stuffed in this forgotten area in my room. All of them I regret buying because i never got into any of them! Silly splurge purchases of my youth. So, with the steam summer sale coming to a close..any games you regret buying?

I don't think I've ever bought a game that I regretted. Maybe, Asteroids 64. But now when I play it today, I actually like it.

Three games come to mind when I think of this subject. Assassin's Creed, Fable and Final Fantasy XII.

God I tried with FFXII, 14 hours of meandering through a game that just wasn't for me; I even like FFX so I don't know how I didn't end up enjoying it. Fable I did play enough to finish, and even get a long way through a second play through, but I did the entire thing complaining about how shit I thought it was. Only nerds put themselves through something like that. Assassin's Creed was just boring. Boring, boring, boring. Had to turn it off at the midway point.

I guess I don't regret buying them, though. Thanks to these games I know who I am; I'm a person who doesn't like those games. If I didn't play them I may of booked an expensive backpacking trip to nowhere in Asia to try to find myself.

Really? I played the demo and it seemed interesting to say the least. FPS fighting game and shit. Glad I never got to buying it though!

@Leigh: Assassins Creed was pretty damn repetitive, the whole series is. But the story is one of those "I gotta see what happens next, so I'm gonna keep buying that shit." Like the Bourne trilogy only shattier.

I was quite upset with Brotherhood, but I will probably by the next one. Damn you Ubisoft!

I'm with Madhatman. I bought the limited edition, too. Fable 3 blows.

HAH! Was just talking to my friend who recently got into Animal Crossing about how I bought Animal Crossing: City Folk AND the Strategy Guide (totaling 75 dollars if you are keeping track) and I played the game for 3 hours before realizing that I didn't want to restart from my Animal Crossing or AC:Wild World game and threw the game back in it's case and just put in my Gamecube version.

    Biggest waste of money ever.

Other than that I also bought the Italian Job video game because I loved the movie so much. Judge me accordingly, I was young and stupid!

    Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

And Rock Band for the Wii. The guitar sync was so fucked up, it was literally unplayable.

...I should not buy Wii games.

The only one that comes to mind is Enchanted arms. I bought that game for 3 dollars and still got ripped off. All of the other terrible games I have I have for a reason. both Hellboy games would usually be why the fuck did I do this purchases but I have Hellboy Problems so I wanted them in my collection.

Co-op games where people say "Yeah, I'll play that with you" and then they never do.

I really hated the achievements in that game. The ones that require you to go around hunting for weapons and clothing in other games is just atrocious.

I absolutely love the first 2. I will never like or even care for Fable III.

Cabela's Dangerous Hunt. I was drunk and wanted a hug from my father I knew would never come.
