This is a surprise: this game is actually coming out!
April 10th on PSN, April 11th on 360.
Day one, bro.
I'm awful at fighting games and end up getting really mad every time I buy one because I'm so bad.
Game looks pretty though. Also boobs.
It's out on PSN now, I'm over waiting for tomorrow's XBLA release.
This shit's gonna be the bomb. I already see myself dropping some serious lab-time into this game. (And then destroy some fools come the tourney end of the month.)
How is it Bloo?
how much is this on PSN? I might pick up this and Fez this week.
15 dollars.
Fun, intuitive, and really deep. The tutorial mode alone does more for teaching newcomers the basics than anything else I've ever seen in a video game for any genre.
There's only 8 characters, but with the team size function, variety is plentiful. Size 1 = 1 very strong character with a lot health, Size 2 = 2 strong characters with beefed up health, size 3 = 3 regular characters. Note that Size 3 has the most health to lose, so right now it's looking like 3 is the key. I'm playing Filia, Valentine, and Peacock. Oh yeah, Valentine and Double are locked until you beat story mode once with each other character. BUT even if you don't beat story mode you can select them local or online versus. So it's there to appease people who just like to play arcade mode and other 1player stuff.
One glaring negative though is no movelists, they'll bring those in the 1st patch but it's still not a good look.
I was #1 in the leaderboards for like 5 minutes and got a bunch of random people with weeaboo avatars sending me friend invites and asking to run sets. I got a good chuckloe out of it. I'm 3-0 in ranked matches so far. COME AT ME
Nice. No move lists is whack but not a deal breaker.
Probably gonna grab this and Fez on Friday.
I haven't played it, but isn't there a possibility that it could get old very quickly? With such a limited cast and up to 6 characters out there you are going to see a ton of mirrors. I get that it's only 15 dollars, but it seems like it could hurt the lifespan of the game.
Damn, this game's tutorial and training modes are good. I never got really deep into the systems of any fighting game but they broke it down and explained pretty much everything.
It is a shame that they didn't have movelists. I've just been looking them up here.
So yeah, this game's super fun and I need to go buy an arcade stick so I can properly play it.
cool. I might pick it up if I can find friends to play it with. I'm bad at fighters so I really only play them with irl friends.
Team size and custom assists help out a long way, I already gave Filia her HP uppercut assist and it's working like MvC2 Captain Commando assist. The way a character plays is dictated by it too, a Size 1 Cerebella becomes ten times more dangerous since she's a powerhouse to begin with, now add the damage and health boosts and she's a walking tank with an air dash.
Also, 2 characters already confirmed as down the road DLC.

Parasoul's pillar move might be a better CAPTAIN CORRIDOR as it seems to go all the way vertically in the screen.
Parasoul is such a great design, loving the character. Very much enjoying the game overall as well so far, though the practice mode is unfortunately complete ass. Hopefully they'll patch that in the near future.
I might buy this just to get my ass whupped by bloo without having to buy a full priced game to do it.

So far I'm loving it. Definitely worth 15$
If I ever get the ambition to drive home I'll play a little of this tonight.
I tried the demo last night, and I just couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll give it another shot tonight.
I have to tip my hat to the visuals, though; the game looks absolutely gorgeous.
