I wouldn't trade it in yet. They're (most likely) just doing what should have been done from the beginning, putting all objective gametypes together.

They also cycled Slayer Pro out.

It took Reach about 6 months to really hit its stride. I don't think H4 will be much different. Playlists will change, more maps will cycle in, new strats will develop. I'm just not all that excited to play it right now.

Slayer Pro is probably out because an MLG playlist is on its way.

That's the main nuisance, taking your time (least that's my tactic) and then if you do get killed, the checkpoint usually comes before you've taking out most of the dudes in that sector.

I never play Halo without the IWHBYD and Grunt Birthday Party skulls on though. That pop and the cheers that follow are some of the most enjoyable things in video gaming to me. I wish you could turn skulls on in Spartan Ops just for the Grunt Birthday Party. It feels wrong getting grunt headshots without it.

Best way to play Halo in my opinion is on Heroic with cowbell, IWHBYD and Grunt Birthday Party on with co-op buddies. Big explosions lead to funny team kill moments.

Played a couple of matches tonight and the matches I played ran smooth though so that was good. No one got on so I hopped onto Blops2 and played with Blasto and his crew until it was just me and him. Then the adventure began.

One thing about the COD community is they are hilarious. One lobby we joined was populated with people from Minnesota and this one black dude kept clowning on this white dude about how he wasn't really from Minnesota or bout dat Minnesota life. It was funny because the white was dead serious about trying to convince everyone he was really from the state, coming up with random trivia and shit and getting upset when people called him fake Minnesota. Started getting legitimately perturbed when people kept doubting him.

But the best was the ultimate redneck lobby we joined. A bunch of dudes from Kentucky who had more redneck than me, Jdawg and ZP's dormant Virginia-ness combined x10. Emblem's emblazened with rebel flags and "I hate n*****s". Accents that had to be heard to be believed. I couldn't even play straight from laughing so hard at the dumb shit they were talking about. Fired out friend requests immediately.

TL;DR if you get bored with Halo Blops2 is good times. Definitely rotating playtime for both on a regular basis.

I might give BLOPS a rent if I can finagle another free month from Gamefly. Right now I have The Walking Dead and Farcry 3. I should finish TWD by tomorrow though (if not this morning, at the rate that I'm playing it), so maybe I can get it before this month is over.
