I'm fairly new to and bad at Halo. My favorite game modes are Oddball and Dominion.

What should I be looking for in a good Halo map? I know it's all a matter of opinion, but I can't eyeball this trailer and tell you if I'd like these maps any more or less than the ones that are on disc. I know that I am not a huge fan of Ragnarok or Complex, but that's just because of DMR and Sniper trolling.

From what I have seen so far they have added just as much extra content for free in terms of extra game modes and Spartan Ops. Both of which are a lot more interesting to me in general. I haven't reached SR50 yet or even exhausted myself with the current maps. Is it likely that most of the player base will switch to newer maps when they are released and leave the playlists without them with a lot shallower player base?

Mainly what bothers me about Halo 4 maps, they usually aren't bad but the art directions so bland and wish wash I can never remember which is which. They all look rather generic IMO
