My favorite comment from the vid:
Yea, Osama is dead. Grats to the CIA and "Seal Team 6".

Now can I get back all the freedoms that have been sacrificed in the name of security since 2001?? No. So, the face of terror is dead, but our idiotic response to terror lives on. I'm happy, but I am sad. This will never be the same country I was born into, and every generation from now on has to put up with more intrusions and suspicions and threats, both from our own government, and from the terrorists inspired by Osama.

It's sad. I honestly didn't feel any justice from his death. I hope that maybe the survivors from the attack who lost family members felt some. But it's still not worth the cost IMO, especially without at least a body or some tangible evidence. But even with all of that, I still wouldn't feel everything leading up to his death was justified. He attacked us once because we've financially supported his(and many other nations) enemy for a long time, even to our own detriment(Israel false flag attacks on us, selling our tech to China which got them kicked out of the F-35 project). What he did was wrong, but it's not as if our constant meddling in other people's affairs don't have consequences. You can't go shit in someones else's backyard and never expect it to land back in yours.

Honestly, I'm just hoping the collective unconscious is malleable enough for this to have some significant impact. I try not to go all mystical on you guys, but at the same time we should never underestimate the butterfly effect. Maybe this will lead to a change in people's ways of thinking. Seeing the bad guy die really is good for people, whether they admit it or not.

If it was up to me we'd have this cat's head on a pike in the White House lawn. I can see how that would be a bit much for most people though.

This surprises me, I thought Harper got most of his votes from out west? Haha, unless you're the only person with common sense out there. It amazes me how, to put it as a guy in my class said he saw on TV last night:

The Conservatives are like Nickleback. Everyone seems to hate them but they always do well.

I find it funny that people think that because Osama is dead the troops will be pulled out of Afghanistan. We have never left a foreign country just because the initial objective has been reached. There are still bases all over Europe from world WW2, in the balkins back from 99, and we still have people on bases in iraq. The troop numbers may be cut down, but we aren't anywhere near done. Its just half time in my opinion.

I love that he colored his beard and got a nose job.

The burden of proof lies not with me and i have no reason to be easily satisfied
After the CIA learned that Fidel Castro liked scuba diving very much they tried to blow him up underwater by filling clams with explosives and scattering them around as much as they could.

You can find this in the files disclosed by the CIA now, but had i told you this in times much earlier you would've labeled me a fantasist, a crackpot, a nutjob, a paranoid conspiracy theorist. Remember this always, the truth can be crazier than your wildest dreams

Apartheid is evil, but let's not pretend like it's not still going on just because the power has switched colors

Also, fuck the ANC. Apartheid should have been ended, but handing power over to them was the worst thing to do. So now apartheid still exists.

I don't think he would make a good president, but I definitely feel he would be a good economical adviser to whoever wins. That is, after he's in Washington, he still has the people's interests in mind. Most don't after they cross that velvet rope.

They always do. It's either "cool" or it's "shameful". The comments seem to reflect both, as people think he'd suck as president due to cussing, or think he'd be great because of it. Remember, this is the same people who flipped their shit over a nipple slipping out during half-time. The same people who approved of Congress spending millions investigating steroid use in baseball, wasting money on a fucking game. The very worst part of it is that these people will be the "jury of your peers" should you ever be in legal trouble.

Right now there's going to be a vote in the UK for proportional representation or AV as it's being called. What's funny is this tweet I saw saying that people who are against it include Ross Kemp and Peter Stringfellow (UK people will know who they are). Well, that's enough to make me vote for AV...

A temporary tax amnesty program in Washington state (where I live) brought in $263 million in just three months, more than 10 times what the state projected. (Source.)

    Thanks, Washington state business owners!

I'd say the Conservatives got the same amount of votes as they've always had... maybe even less. The rise of NDP support drew votes away from the Liberals, and since this is a "first across the finish line" type dilly, Conservatives won more of their ridings. If we had one left-wing and one right-wing party like they do down south, I guarantee you we would have a majority left-wing government right now.

News stories this morning seem to have Harper saying that he won't "surprise us" with anything, and that they're aiming for the center rather than the right. Press has him painted more relaxed; understandable since he got what he wanted. Who knows, maybe with a majority government we'll actually get shit done? I won't hold my breath though.

Today is the Ron Paul Money bomb leading up to the Republican debate tonight in SC. This guy is definitely idealistic, but I think he's the only 100% honest and consistent politician in Washington (plus he wants to legalize weed).

    Viva Libertarianism, and all that.

I like Ron Paul. I don't agree with him on everything, but I agree with him more than I disagree with him. Unfortunately the only press he gets is always talking about how insane he is. Dems hate him, Repubs hate him. So he must be doing something right.
