From one of the screens I saw it looks like "Firestorm" is returning in some form. So spell casters will be happy to see it return i'm sure, also saw a wraith of god like spell to pretty sure. So not expecting them to re-invent the wheel with this release but i'm totally okay with them just refining it.

I'd like them to add P2P multiplayer option to, that way you don't have to worry about servers shutting down.

Any news about players being able to choose who they'll play with? I'm pretty sure that was not possible in Demon's Souls, and if it's still like that P2P is probably not gonna happen.

That wouldn't matter, P2P is no different than a server selection except your console is the server. They still have not commented on co op options. I do like the fact that invaders can't heal, that leaves the honor of no grass spamming to the host... which if he's looking to do some single player shit he probably has the right over an invader.

If you say so. Still don't see it happening, but hey, that's just me. I really want to get this game, but I'm a bit low on money, so I'll probably wait till January or something.

As long as they make all the weapons useful this time around, and they can work on making the bosses not so cheatable, I'll be pumped for this game.

The CE is just a pre order of the game. Pretty awesome they're doing this rather than price gouging CE's like most companies do today.

And do you mean region free as in "plays in any Xbox"? Because the PS3 version will be like that. At least Demon's Souls was, and the only limitation was that European games only connected to the European server.

Yep, though i'm reading that all regions will connect to the same servers. So there won't be any region restrictions this time as far as invasions go etc.

I do wonder if they'll have separate trophies & achievements. I got all 3 platinums in Demon's Souls just because I dug the game that much... will probably do the same with Dark Souls.

I bought the CE version a couple months back. I have never bought a CE version because I, for the life of me, can't figure out where $50-$70 = 1CD+1 printed map. And maybe a $7 figurine related to the game. The Dark Souls CE however, is well worth it.

Part of the allure to CE's is the exclusivity of things, funny thing is they almost always never sell out and are on discount for 40 dollars 3 months later.

Got it pre-ordered on New Egg for $50 a little while back. Nice that EVERY version has the pack in stuff, it's not even retailer specific or anything, there is no non-CE version. On a related note, I've noticed New Egg has started selling pre-orders of every major title at $10-15 off the retail price at some point for one of their daily sales. Something worth keeping an eye on if you wanna save a little money and don't NEED games on the launch day.

I'm so ready for this beautiful bastard.

Yeah, I've been escorting a friend through Demon Souls in hopes he would get into it but we had to stop while he's playing Deus Ex. Hopefully we can finish the game before Dark Souls comes out. I'm just so itching to play this game.
