If it tracks my stats in real time without me needing to update them manually like I do now with 3rd party sites, then I'm all for it. Would make it alot simpler.

    Looks AWESOME!

I can safely say that I am glad they are not charging $15 a month for "stat tracking"

NDAs are a pitiful piece of throwaway these days apparently:

    Not really feeling that map.

I can already see it being a case of getting everyone to concentrate on one track, while a small group moves down the other and flanks/causes havok. Then people will just cotton on, so, the sides of approach are eventually reversed.

Yeah, when you get to that 2nd, 3rd, and last set of MCOMs you immediately lose a lot of freedom you are given
in the first set (wide-open park area). But no game is ever the same.

BTW, I'm upto about 15 minutes worth of gameplay now (7 more videos) saved on my HDD from all these NDA-
breakers, BF3Blog said they had about 40 minutes worth about 6 hours ago. Anyone else saving them as they
    go?

I'll be checking out the Multiplayer and Co-Op at PAX Prime, at an exclusive/secret invite only event, so I'll let everyone know what I see when i get back.

    OH MY GOD SO EXCITE

Also, knife seems to be its own weapon now. Thoughts?

I'm liking the Metro map more, now that I've seen that it isn't just about the train tracks. I'll be interested to see if you play above and below simultaneously.

If they fix the hit detection with the knife, I have no problem with it. I always had trouble hitting people with it in Bad Company and most close combat situations boiled down to spamming Y in their general direction (unless they had a shotgun). You could keep the knife out in original BC, so I'm cool with that too, since it means bringing back the risk/reward of replacing your default gun.

I was gonna get this instead of MW3.

EA not releasing BF3 on Steam.

    Pass.

  13. #113
That's how I feel, I was going to get both but after hearing about the whole Origin thing and how EA is messing with customers I'm probably going to just get MW3 on pre-order and forget about BF3 on release day.

It's kind of a fucking inconvenience but I'm going to suck it up and buy it on Origin. And somehow I will launch it using Steam and be able to use the overlay.

Or you could you know, buy a physical copy.

  16. #116
I imagine EA will find some way to push players into getting Origin for BF3, even if you do get a physical copy, like they tried to do with Mass Effect 2 and it's online shop.

It's still Origin, you have to add your friends on Origin, have an account and log in through it to play the multiplayer. Only difference is that the setup is on a disk. Lame as fuck if you ask me.

Meh. I can't even run it on a PC, so it's the 360 for me.

Getting it on PS3 and when I upgrade to a new PC, sometime around X-mas or just after, I will get the PC version as well and not give two fucks about Origin or what not-a-thing-a-mah-jig.

Though the whole friends thing through Origin sounds lame as hell.

Origin doesn't function like steam, it doesn't have to continue running to play games you bought through origin. You can set it that way, but right now it's not required.
