I've been watching the other stuff this week on Fallon's Video Game Week. The games always come after the 2nd guest, just FYI on anyone who wants to watch that part but not the actual show.
Or just wait until tomorrow morning, the clip will be on NBC's page.
Very happy I set my DVR. Shit wasn't even worth watching all the way through.
*3 minutes in...-DELETE-*
BF3 on the PS3.
It doesn't look as shiney as the PC but my PS3 is cheaper than a new PC GPU....lol
From latest PSM3 issue. If you want to read the entire article, BF3Blog is just one source. It's now all
over the place. Sorry it's blurry---no one has uploaded high-res scans of it yet (if ever).
The Assault Class gets the defib this time around? But that's not right! You should be hurting people, not helping them...
This is something I been complaining about---Assault Class is actually the Medic Class and the Assault Class
in the same slot. Not only is it redundant (because you're then forced to choose either the Medic Kit or the Assault
Kit---and no, you cannot mixmatch. GNLsGrenades/MedPacksDefib).
DICE just needs to split it up---I see no point in what they're doing with it, in it's current state.
Whatever, I can't read. It's just balance. Either a grenade launcher or a defib. It may have been overpowered to give assaults both.
I just hope they gank snipers this time around by making rifles bolt-action only, more urban centric maps, and limiting the number of snipers allowed. Camping douchenozzles.
Also, if the squad feature is coming back, please fix not being able to find a squad in a full game (on the consoles). kthnx
Dear Dice,
Please get rid of Magnum Ammo.
Sincerely,
All Noobs.
I would agree with you---if you could actually mix/match the hits within the class---but you cannot, so that point
would be moot, again though, having to choose between one kit or the other, is the same thing as choosing the classes
and this is why I think DICE just needs to create the 5th slot for one of the kits---that, or give the Assault Kit back
the syringe, and let him hit his teammates with it if in need, and keep their precious 4 classes only theme.
Gah, or something that makes more sense than what it is currently doing.
No.
Also, I don't use the tubes anyway so to me its basically the Assault from BC2 has the LMG now and the Medic from BC2 has the assault rifles now. I can deal with that. And to the people complaining about snipers, either learn to counter-snipe, or take the fight to them. Camping snipers are usually very unprepared for direct encounters, its really not that difficult to take them out.
Magnum ammo is kind of retarded. From level 0-15 I complained about how everyone else had it and it was bullshit. I leveled up to 16 and always have it equipped unless I have to play serious medic or want to play Carl Gustav Engineer. It's not game breaking but no other spec is as useful and there's no negative to using it unless you're doing something very specific that makes it useless. Offering it early or giving at least one other power that actually competed with it for usefulness would be fine (body armour is almost close but it's hard to actually tell when the spec saved you instead of reflexes or luck) but otherwise it's just the end of useful level ups.
I personally only see it as useful for the assault class and recon in very specific situations, ala charging forward with the VSS. Medics benefit more from marksman training (so many bullets fired, better to have more hit than the few that do hit harder) and engies from explosives mk2, at least from what Ive gathered from experience. So I don't see it as nearly as useful as some claim, but I still use it, so I'd rather it doesn't go away. Besides, with a good squad it doesn't take that long to reach level 16, so if anything newbies should see it as motivation to level up quicker.
I never use Magnum Ammo Spec. I'm usually Assault, and am always using the Marksman Ammo
Spec.
So it must be true---MASpec has to be a 'noob-compensator'. LOL, oh man...

Latest DICE/BF3 Blog talks a bit more about the classes, and what people can expect, and/or what to look forward to.
I don't like how everything on internet is turning into FaceBook but I suppose I can let this one slide:
