FUCK YEAR
All I've found out is it's owned by D3 Publishing.
There is like literally no more info than that at the moment. It's trickling in from PAX.

Fingers crossed for online co-op.
OH FUCK!? They better have online co-op! That's really all these games need to be pretty much perfect.
I am officially hyped.
Sayyy whaaaaaaaat?! Was not expecting to see this at all, I'm pumped.
The fuck? This is something that I never, ever expected to see. And now I want it.
If it doesn't have it, I might cry a little. Dtoid EDF would be awesome beyond words.Originally Posted by "Mxyzpylk

Give me a good assault rifle and rawket launcher and I'm ready to whoop some alien ass.

Front page picked this up now, you should demand a tipster credit Bloo.
Nah, Dtoider Bloodylip linked me to the site on irc. And it looks like the article credits better sources anyway.
Anyway, I need to find a copy of EDF2017 again, get ready for the impending Armageddon.
I hope this gets made with an actual budget. It deserves one.

This needs to be multiplatform. Double the platform, double the sales potential.
WRONG.
That would ruin everything good about the game. Budget's give games cover systems and regenerating health and annoying overlong cutscenes and plot.
Sandlot's games are all about building simple core concepts into somewhat broken awesomeness anyways. I don't think there is anything wrong with the environment destruction they've been using since PS2, and the goofy physics where enemies and objects just fly around the level are amazing. Also the cheapass localization of EDF 2017 is sort of the best thing ever.
My hope is the game just gives you some better mobility options, I heard the PS2 ones gave you some kind of jetpack or something (they were only released in EU, so I dunno)?
If it still ends up only 360, then I might have a reason other than SSFIV to use that thing.
I was thinking about that last night, actually. I don't want the budget to change the game. Just use it in a way that more people will play it. Advertising, extra content, etc.
Oh yeah, but that would be more on the publisher than anything else... and D3 has no budget, I saw their booth at PAX.
D3? I don't even remember what they published on PS2.
It would be cool if Atlus would pick this up or someone like that. IIRC it was Enix that published RAD on PS2 actually...
